The Praetorians vs. The BladesingersFollow

I'm afraid I'll have to withdraw from the Ballista. :(

I've decided to take a nice long break from FFXI... several months or so. Will probably just log on to check my plants.

Between the fact that the game has become Ranger Fantasy XI (damn Gil Sellers for making the job so common) and I can't play the job I want (SamuraI) without waiting 6 hours for a party (I tried putting one together today twice... the first time, there were no whms, the second time, 3 whms looking, no tanks). All my real life friends have left due to the frustration factor and they've all moved to World Of Warcraft (which I play as well) and I realized today that I spend more time lfp than I actually do levelling (unless I play, obviously, my rng when I'm levelling it for a subjob). I just don't have the time to spend sitting around for hours and getting next to nothing out of it. SE has made some improvements to the game, but they still have rangers as overpowered and have designed almost every new aspect of the game from CoP on to require them. Yes, rangers pay for it with gil, but as I said, with the Gil Sellers on the loose, it's not hard to buy a ranger nowadays.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who's helped me out. I'll probably see you around in a few months or maybe not. Depends on if I can get back into it again. Take care.

Ok! So Ive just found out the this battle is going to take place tomorrow, May 15th, at 3-5PM (not sure what timezone, maybe EST, I dunno). Leetfade traded me a page to the redbook, so I am able to trade out pages as well. EVERY BladeSinger and people wishing to join for the BladeSingers PLEASE contact Leetfade or myself sometime today or tomorrow so we can get you your pages. If you do not have a license, you can get one in as little as an hour, depending on choco/airship times. Tomorrow should be great fun, but not if we show up without any numbers >.>

I should be able to be on and logged in for the Praetorians. Depends on how my morning goes but so far planning on being there for battle.

I would have to say that was the most fun I have had in along time. Thank you Bladesingers for keeping it fun and friendly, Thank you Praetorians for showing up and thank you to Tainted for helping us Ballista virgins out.

Next time we need to set up some one on one fights so I can get owned in them also. I think i did better once I learn to keep my Elvaan Butt out of the fight and cast spells from a distance. So many time i ran outta mp and wondered why. It was because i was running around not keeping myself Refreshed and buffed, I was just too excited to wait, lol.

All I have to say is.......

/em Bio 2 random Mage.

/em Poison 2 on random Mage.

/em pulls out his swords to begin combat.

/em takes way too much damage from Raging Fists.

/em dies frustrated but laughing too hard to care.

I had so many Petras that time and just needed a kill to score. Curse you and your Raging Fist, curse you all, See you next match. :P

Overall, the LS was abuzz talking about it and asking when we were doing it again, so........ When are we doing it again? ^^ It was definitely a moral raising event and well worth the planning.
