Hmmmm let me field this one... It could be numerous reasons, but here are the ones I think stick out...

1)You are bored
2)You are a good contributing member of this community
3)You know a lot about the game
4)You are bored
5)There is no number 5
6)NO POOFTAS
7)You are helpful
8)No mistreating the Taru's in front of the students
9)You are bored

Hope that helps ^^

Thank you, I think that's cleared up now.

Go to whichever city is in first place. You need to get the mithra in the carnival a flower (carnation I think) and a stack of arrows and she'll quiver them for ya!!

It is indeed a carnation. Her name is Nokkhi Jinjahl and she will quiver the following arrows: Iron, Silver, Beetle and Horn. She will also case the following bolts: Mythril and Darksteel.

How exactly does the scholar/sage thing work?

::dodges thrown objects::
#211 Nov 30 2004 at 12:55 AM Rating: Good
It's dependant on your average Karma.

I forget the minimum Karma rating for Scholar.

Minimum for Sage is 3.75

3.66 I believe

I got this list from the FAQ of this site. The colors may be different depending on what kind of system your using

Quote:
Karma below 3 = user. Posts are in dark blue.
Karma between 3.01 and 3.65 = scholar. Posts are in yellow.
Karma between 3.66 and 4.34 = sage. Posts are in green.
Karma between 4.35 and 5 = guru. Posts are in red

Figured I'd ask this here.

I need golem shards for Alchemy, and I see the easiest golems are Stone Golems (level 40-42) in Beaucedine. Think a 57 WHM can take them on? If so, where have you seen them? Thanks :)

Edited 'cause I ain't got good grammar

Hehe :)

It's amazing what the eye skips over when typing. Sometimes I typo but the typo ends up being a real word so my email's spell checker misses it lol.

I am a God I tell you. A God among morons.

3.75 was my karma rating at the time I made the post, rather than 3.66, which is the correct answer.

How I surplanted one with the other, I'll never know.

Here's a good one... I might try this later unless someone knows the answer.

If you are fighting a mob with your back to the zone, and when I say this I mean you are ONE back-step from it, and the mob uses a "knock-back" WS. Would the mobs WS knock you outta the zone, disengaging you, or would you just not get knocked back?

I've done it...

I got zoned :(

Pt wasn't amused that the white mage suddenly zoned when they really wanted him to be there ; ;

My question is:

How the deuce do I use the IRC chat? ><

(give me an Apple II e and I can take it apart put it together, update it, fix it, install whatever...but hey I'm old(er))
#221 Dec 04 2004 at 4:52 PM Rating: Decent
I know you can take pics by hitting Scroll Lock (removes all menus) and then hitting Print Screen, but how can you take pics of Maps and Inventory?

Thanks in advanced ^^

http://www.mIRC.com

Download mIRC v. 6.16

Install. Run. Smiley: tongue

Hit "Continue".

In the window that pops up, fill out the first bit of info. I actually recommend you not use your real or full name, personally.

Nickname use the nickname you have here at Alla (not case sensative)

On the left-hand side of this window, click "Servers".

Click "Add".

Description = Whatever you'd like. You can call it potato if you like. ^^ I call it AkzNet.

IRC Server: irc.allakhazam.com

Ports: 6667 will probably work fine. If not, try 6668, 6669, and 7000 one by one. (Kind of a pain, but unless you have a strange ISP or a strange computer it should work. Smiley: tongue

No Groups, No passwords.

That's all you need but I'd recommend you tweek the following settings.

The heading in bold denote a selection from the list on the left of this mIRC Options window you're in. This is only things I recommend changing. If I don't mention it, you can leave it as is.

Connect -> Options
-Checkmark "Connect on startup"
-Checkmark "Reconnect on disconnection"

IRC
-Checkmark "Rejoin channels on connect" (If you get dc'd, when you reconnect you will automatically rejoin the channel(s) you were in previously.)

IRC -> Options
-Checkmark "Hide ping? pong! event" (You get pinged by the server to make sure you're still there. A lot. It gets annoying. This hides it.)

Yeah, that's a lot. You can skip the recommended stuff if you prefer.

More actual useful information (as opposed to recommendations.

The first time you connect to irc.allakhazam.com you will want to reserve your nickname. This will keep other ppl without your password from masquerading as you (or more accurately, they can masquerade as you, but if you join they get booted, and anyone looking at them will see that this person isn't recognized by the nickserv.

type /msg nickserv register USERNAME PASSWORD (this would be your username and password from Alla.

On future logins you will want to type /msg nickserv identify PASSWORD to get yourself recognized again.

Note that you can change your nick once you are logged in by typing /nick NEWNAME where NEWNAME = whatever you want, TrouserBanana if you like. (though the Alla user TrouserBanana might have something to say about that.)

However keep in mind that this nick will still be in place the next time you run mirc and connect. You will need to change your nick back to your alla name before you /msg nickserv identify PASSWORD.

Finally, to join in the Bismarck fun, type /join #FFXI-Bismarck

If you (or anyone) need additional help or clarification, IM me on AIM @ ASyzygyOfSouls or on YIM @ perfectsyzygy

This is only available to players using the PC version of FFXI. It is typically done with a third-party program (such as Fraps).

Note that this is against the TOS, but I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble for it.

Blink is three shadows. The same with Utsusemi. Summoner can use Garuda to cast Aerial Armor which gives the whole party blink. Hope this helps.
