When I use the song Haste, it speeds up attack time, but does anyone know by what percantage? I asked my White Mage mentor (FairyQueen^^), and I don't think she knew...

I went to look at the info given under the 'haste spell' on this site and a few people have run experiments. The delay on your Weapon decreases by about 15% when you have Haste cast on you. Let me clarify. Let say you are using a weapon that has a 300 Delay. This means it has a 300 milisecond delay. now do 300 * 0.85 (or 85%) and you'll get 255. So your weapon now has a 255 delay rather than a 300 delay. Apparently this has no effect on cast time, only on weapon delay time. Hope this answers your question

While this is true Vim, Haste does effect REcast time on Magic, Songs, Summons/Blood Pacts, Ninjitsu, and Job Ablilty recast aswell.

So this means that your weapon delay has been reduced by almost half a second? Wow didn't know it can do that much.

might be a dumb question but do Orbs expire or crack after not being used for a while? I've had my sky orb for over a month and my star orb for a few weeks.

far as I know they do not expire unless you use them. Win or lose, they're no good anymore once you've traded it to the Burning circle

okies how bout this...

I know orbs are only good for one use, but why do I still have it after trading it to the BC and why does it not say broken or cracked or something. If it isn't any good after use what's the point in the game not taking it from your inventory when you trade it?

I mean, linkpearls say broken when you get kicked, and items you trade to NPC's etc., disappear from you inventory. So why are orbs so different/special?

I believe you're referring to "Aerial Armor"^^

I've noticed that when I get a PT in the Jungle on my SMN (30) I'm usually the healer.

If I'm not, I don't even ***** with Aerial Armor if we're fighting Mandys, because their double attacks just eat through it. Gobbies on the other hand they're good for, if someone accidentally pulls hate the tank has a few seconds to pull it back.

Other than that, people haven't seen many SMN's who will Magic Burst with them, I remember I was getting good bursts for around 12-160.

Then one time, we pulled aggro from a smithy, everyone 2 hours including me. This party was awsome, we would Renkei and I would burst on them all the time. I pull out Shiva and have her do Diamond dust. Right before she casts, I notice the wonderful Melee's just Renkei'd, and my Diamond Dust hit the gobbie for a burst of something like 700 damage! Sadly I also hit 2 mandys nearby and had to zone them, but that was the coolest thing ever :)

I guess the moral of that story is, learn to burst with your avatars, you'll be almost as good as a BLM when it comes to Renkei's, and your debuffing and back up cures will help out your WHM if you have one:)

This has never been clearly explained to me.

How do you outpost-warp?

It depends on what city you are from. I know in San d'Oria there is a person at Ranperre's Gate in North San d'Oria who will teleport you. You have to have done a supply quest to the outpost you want to warp to, those quests are obtained through your city's guards...Ill look for the names and edit this post when I find them

Hope that helped ^^

the name is Jeanvirgaud...

theres a lot of incorrect information on this thread its sad to say, I'll start with page 5 to begin, I might go through the rest if I'm bored enough.

Haste: It reduces combat rounds, recast timers, etc

ANYTHING that is classed as an ABILITY is not reduced, this means:

Job abilities, Ranged Attacks, Summoners Blood Pacts, are NOT affected by haste.

The other day in S Gusty, I saw someone who had a kinda yellow & green chevron next to their name (where the linkpearl usually goes)

What's that all about then?

btw it was definitley none of the following:
A linkshell
A GM
A seek Flag
A disconnect warning circle
A Ballista flag

So, I know what it wasn't, but no idea what it was.

Possibly someone in Squeenix demoing it to a crowd. I know there's a list somewhere (maybe on the Playonline website) that lists the different symbols and meanings. If I was on my own computer, I'd post the link.

Lol, I know what that was.

When I first saw one, I asked the player about it.

The symbol indicates that the person is a trial membership account, which means that SE is usually showing off the game at a trade show, or that the game is at an internet cafe.

Remember, the game has just recently come out in EU, and SE is gonna drive up as much business as possible for it^^

(Gotta love the capitalists, eh?)

Here's a question.

Has anyone ever found that DC warning icon useful? Seems to me like it pops up all the time for no reason when someone is zoning, freaking everyone in a pt out when the person stays online just fine, and then never shows up when someone is actually DCing.

Hey i wanted to sign up for ballista the other day. I talked to the guy from sandoria, excenmille or wutever his name is. He told em to go to Invincible shield, and sum lady in windurst, and talk to them. He gave me key item letters to both of em. I talked to both of em. Then i went and talked to the president of bastok, and star sibyl in the cutscene. I got cutscenes for both. Then i went back to ecenmille but all he told me was to go talk to the ppl, in the other countries. Did i miss something?
