Everyone around us stopped getting pissed that we were holding up the line and stared, and it took her half a second, even less, to respond with a Yes. And omg it was the best feeling in the world. I felt as if I was the happiest person ever.

How the hell did you manage to get all that out? I would have cracked under the pressure maybe half way through and been babbling nonsense up until the “will you marry,” part.
