On a personal level, it doesn't. But if I'm going to be isolated for something that I don't perceive to be all that offensive (and by offensive, I don't mean Goose didn't like it), then you bet your *** I'm going to call out all the other times sh*t gets left alone.
re-evaluate Stubs, it really doesn't matter

It does to me. Also:

Tolerated or not? Mixed signals?

You know what's funny? The only reason I asked that is because I was told by an admin to remove my avatar of a middle finger (not a real one, a road sign style drawing), because the middle finger could be considered offensive, and yet, here we have multiple purposeful breakage of the swear filter. Hmmmmm. [:handonchinthinkingposture:]

Would you prefer next time that I just remove it without asking you? Because that's certanly an option. Plus then I get to be creativce with the replacement...

No I would prefer you hold everyone to equal standards and not play favorites. Guess that's too much to ask from a gaming forum though. My avatar was hardly offensive, and I think you know that.

To be fair, Stubs, if it's only you being singled out they're not playing favorites.

They're playing least-favorites.Smiley: lol

It's none of my business, but Stubs' middle-finger avatar was hardly offensive relative to a lot of other avatars around here. That's my opinion anyway.

I have removed every sig, avatar, image, etc with that particular jexture for far longer than you ahve been a poster here. Don't try to pull that favorites **** with me. I already told you if you find something offensive in the posts of others report it. Flipping the bird is an offensive gesture outside of the american motion picture pg-13 guidelines, which is what we generally use to judge acceptability of avatars.

I'm getting the impression that Stubs is as much of a whiney cnut that Leifen was. Am I wrong?

Depends on your definition of whiney cnut I suppose. People don't like me here because I speak my mind and have a tendency to respond to pretty much everything thrown my way. I don't give a **** who you *think* you are, I'll toss words with you just the same as any other. Sometimes I come out OK, sometimes I go down in flames, but I don't really give a rats *** either way, because I do it to pass time, not improve my public image here.

Yes, I whined a little in this post, but I still don't get how purposely breaking the swear filter over and over is any less offensive than a cartoon middle finger, precedents or not. I know I'd rather my kid see a cartoon image of a finger than see the word **** plastered all over the place. The whole thing is pretty ******* lame, if you ask me.

The rest of you cnuts can kiss my ***.

It's coming full circle.

A poster, not particularly liked, lashes out at the forum. He lashes out so much that he ends up lashing out at an admin. The admin has to put the poster in his place and the poster either gets better or gets banned.

It's happened before, it's happening now and it will happen again.

I'm not changing anything. I complied with his request; that doesn't mean I have to silently agree with it.

I don't think anyone on the entire allakhazam network takes the forums quite as seriously as you. It really is pathetic to watch. But you're beyond rescue, so I'm going to stop going on about it so much.
