While I appreciate that must have been more painful for you than my current depression, my situation is dissimilar in that 1) I have no confidence, no charisma, no good looks and no social skills. This is not a winning combination. And 2) yet another rejection is such a crushing blow to my self esteem that I feel ready to believe I'm as worthless as people think I am. Up to now I've always held the moral ground at least, and tried to be a good person. Guess that just doesn't cut it.
I'm going to be Hall-mark now....
EVERYONE has someone. You just haven't found her, or aren't looking hard enough, or maybe not in the right places. Back during school I always hung out with the girls, had very few guy friends and didn't get a lot of attention from the girls I "wanted" to get attention from. However, it was always the ones I got to know, got close, that I ended up falling for in the end. (Which ended up being my wife... so I don't think that really gets the point across... err). My point would be to find someone interested in you that you can see your self in (No innuendo here, please) and go for it.
In time, you will find the one.
Oh, and just do it. Thinking too much hurts you worse than just asking the girl.
