I tear more holes in, pop more buttons off of, and break more seams on brand name department store clothes than I do cheap Wal-Mart clothes by a ratio of about 10:1.
Just sayin'

The problem with Wal-Mart clothes isn't durability. It's fashion. Smiley: frown

The problem with Wal-Mart clothes is Wal-Mart.

You'd think that. But I have to look pretty hard to find clothes there big enough to fit my fat ***.

Jeez, sorry guys.

I just assumed. I mean, I'm not a huge ****** and I'd never even consider buying clothes at Wal-Mart.

It's a vicious circle. Do you have any idea what it does to my self-esteem?

People who wear clothes shouldn't and people who don't wear clothes are the ones that really should. The idea is fine it's just the people have it bassackwards.

Target > Wal-Mart. The price of clothes is about a dollar more and they look a lot better. Then again Salvation Army > K-Mart Smiley: lol

Imo resale shops > everything else. I think thats always been the case for me, not because i was poor (though i definitely am now), but because you could at the very least find some nice materials to make some shirts and skirts out of there. Pillowcases for instance make pretty decent skirts if you can do enough fixing in the right places to it. But then again, I don't imagine the guys of the OoT are going to be walking around with old 70's designs sewn up t-shirts, so its a bit more viable for girls.

Meh, I prefer the selection of clothes at my Wal-Mart to the local Target. As for plus size, Target has a total of 9 racks. And it's a super Target. >< Wal-Mart truly does have more. Which is good, because I'm one of those "fat people." We get screwed out of nice clothes everywhere. :P

I also agree with the OP about the sturdiness. Hanes t-shirts seem to last forever. As do the jeans and skirts they carry. Which is definitely for the better, with two toddlers pulling on the constantly. LOL

Like hell they are. More like, designed for fat people who like to wear ugly clothes. I get my pants from WalMart, but I refuse to buy any shirts my size there.

When I was in college, the first time, I used to shop at this super-chic vintage clothing store. It was great, they had all kinds of stuff that I could have purchased at the Salvation Army or Goodwill but I got to pay department store prices instead of feeling like a poor person.

Sixty bucks for a pair of jeans that has languished in a box in someone's garage since the early seventies? Yes sir, you got yourself a deal!

I used to shop at Macy's, the Gap and Old Navy. You are correct, these close fall to **** after one or two washes. They just recently opened a Kohls down the street from where I live. I shop there now. Decent styles and durable cloths.

************ that. I still shop at Salvation Army as if I am as broke now as I was back when I was younger.

Seriously, Salvation Army may be the greatest institution this United States has to offer.

Walmart's products are specially designed to eradicate the American middle class and line the pockets of the Walton family.

That's my problem with it. I'd actually have to go to Wal-Mart to get them.

Target is a pretty good place to go though.

As far as I'm concerned, anything over $35 is too much for a pair of jeans. And $35 is toeing the line.
