Ok to make it a short story i have been going to the same church all of my life. We have had the same song leader for as long as i have been there. OMG i just found out that the F.B.I cought him trying to hook it up with a 13 year old boy. lol what the hell is this world coming to... i would have never thought of this guy doing anything like this. Just give me your thoughts on this, please i want to hear what you think about this.

Thank you

all i can say is, that i am from north louisiana and for some reason that doesnt surprise me. not that the fact of the little boy thing, but i know at least around here all thes "holy rollers" will sit there and tell you how to run your life and make sure your life is a living hell and then pull something like that. i know my experience of being where i am at that all of these holier than thou types are all hypocrits.

i understand that no body is perfect, and everybody sins. but when it gets to the point that a person can "do no wrong" just because they attend a particular church and everyone else is the "devil" you would think people would figure them all out. it is because people like this that made me turn my back on religion and worship by myself, because hey, i dont need those other people.

but yes, i think it is very fuc??? up on many many different levels and i just wish people like him would just die.

I know this happens all of the time and this kind of stuff makes me push and push away from any church it just seems to me that its just not worth it going to any church any more

Think of it from a religous and tactical point of view. If you were the devil and you wanted to corrupt the population who would you focus your efforts on? Some passed out whino in a back alley or the leaders of the very faith you were trying to destroy. Don't be disallusioned by others failures.

I hope that this stuff does not hinder your Faith in waht you believe in spritually.

Remember that all of these people are still human beings.

Just because all of these "holy men" <---not capitalized have sexual feelings toward boys, doesn't mean that God does.

Everyone's faith is still being tested.... it didn't stop with Isaac, and it's not stopping now.

Nothing has changed. God is still God and man is still man.

Great point Kelvyquay. I am glad you stated that because that is very true. People need to remember that the church is run by people, and need to understand that it is not God that is making the mistakes, but the people who run Gods church are making the mistakes. I appreciate your comment and out look on this...

Even though you will find bad things in church dont forget about the good as well. Fellowship can be an important part in spiritual growth. A good sermon can help you to see something from a different perspective. If you choose to stay away from the church for a bit thats fine, but try to catch a message on the TV or over the radio every once in awhile. Just don't give up on the whole thing, maybe try other churches or stay disconnected from the whole social part. Either way don't let the actions of one disuade you from your faith.

OR you can choose not to go to church. Do you really, really, need to go to that building at scheduled times and participate in group worship in order to meet your obligation to God? Some people do. Others find they don't. What kind are you?

HOw much did Jesus really say about going to church?

From waht I recall not much except about how utterly corrupt it is.

...also the bit about the Rock of the Church and Peter... which supposed is waht makes Catholics think that they can change wahtever they think is right...

So why don't they just make pedophelia sanctified?

Um... what are you talking about?

If I remember correctly, the gospels say that Jesus said to Peter that he was the rock upon which the church would be built. I'm trying to figure out how this equates to catholics thinking they can change whatever they think is right (whatever that means).

HE said wahtever his rules are would be the rules in heaven.

The Catholic Church claims to be this "Rock" that is Peter.

here's one of my famous random links about it...

There is always light in the darkness, just as there is always darkness looming somewhere in the light. I choose not to go to church, because I believe that I can worship god in my own ways, in prayer and the respective actions I take in my everyday life. I don't need an institution to represent myself onto the lord. I do it myself, no middle men to hide behind.
Though a good church can lift low spirits, help with a grieving heart, and calm a tormented soul, it can also be a spike of darkness in the light. No one is immune to corruptness, no matter what the color of their collar is.

Don't look at me, I don't rate down (I do rate up if it's good).
Not like it would matter much if I did, A whole 6 posts wouldn't do much to a rating.
