How Do you Uninstall the Turbine Download Manager?Follow

So, after downloading a trial this summer, I have that stupid Turbine Download Manager left on my computer. Why? Because it just won't uninstall! The Add/Remove program option won't even do it.

I get this error:

"An error occured while trying to uninstall Turbine Download Manager - Live. It may have been uninstalled."

Except that it TOTALLY hasn't. I can open it up just fine (the LotR game is gone, though).

Then I tried using Revo Uninstaller, and it failed.

How do I get rid of this stupid application? It's like my PC's STI...

Help!

I managed to find the Turbine folder (it wasn't in Program Files. I have NO clue why it DLed there).

When trying to run the Turbine Uninstaller, it says "Uninstall key name argument missing."

Help, please! T.T

Re-install the trial game and Turbine, next uninstall Turbine first then the game.

I'll try this when I'm next week when I'm, home. The game is too large for my school's bandwidth limit. Thanks and rate-up.

Anyone else have any ideas I can try in the meantime?

[EDIT]

Forgot an "m."

Umm yes, if you allready have the game, in this case lotr uninstalled, and know where the main files for the program are delete that file directly. I wold after i do this download ccleaner at piriform.com and make sure that is goes through the windows files to make sure no unused .dll's etc remain. this should in most cases remove the files for turbine from your system.

Now if it doesn't want to delete when you attempt to delete the file itself, usually you get an error that windows is using this program, ctrl alt del or goto task manager and find and kill the turbine program. then you should be able to do this with no problem. If you aren't familiar with task manager, the file you will be looking for will have someone more than likely the registered user, we will call him "john" to the right while other system programs have the word system to the right. leave those alone, and concentrate on the John type programs and you should be able to pick it out of the bunch. It may have more than a single process, for example the prog name ie turb.exe.......john then it may also have turbsrv....john. still it should be pretty obvious.

good luck and if you have any problems with that write back and ill help as much as I am able from offshore at work.
