Howdy! Since I'm not a premium user at the moment, I can't do a search through the forums to see if there is an answer to my question, so my apologies if this question has been asked before.

I'm a new truck driver, and have a Aircard through Cingular. I know that in some cities I will get near-cable speeds, but in most of the service area I get approx. 1.8 Mbps speeds (it feels like it's near dial-up speed).

I'm wondering if anyone has ever used an Aircard connection (in particular using Cingular's service) with a laptop to play WoW, and if the game would work properly in the areas where the speeds is near Dial-up speeds.

Thanks greatly in advance!

I don't have experience with aircards, but 1.8 Mbps is faster than DSL and should be enough to play. What might hurt you is latency, not bandwidth.

If you can swing it, I play on my laptop using a Blackberry 7130e and definitely recommend it. It's $85 a month for phone service, unlimited data, and the laptop tethering service, and works great. If you're a trucker you might even get your company to swing the bill by selling them on the GPS tracking software available for blackberries.
