errors 4002 and 0512 with FFXI closingFollow

heres whats happening. I am playing the game just fine for a few hrs, and suddenly I get the dreaded R0. Its hort last just a minute or 2, and picks back up. But the red "gonna get DC'ed" mark stays by my character for a good 15 min. I can chat, search, etc. At the 15 min mark I finnaly get DC'ed. If I try to zone, I get a black screen till it finally get around to dc'ing. If I access the mog house delivery box, it will R0, say traffic is congested, then the recieve value goes back to normal.

Once I get DC'ed this way, logging back on results in an instant R0 and repeat of the above, unless I wait half a day >.<

When I get DC'ed, I get the error message saying connection with my server was lost, with error number 4002. After that it fails to connect me with the lobby server, saying error 0512.

I have all the proper ports open, my config hasn't changed at all. Firewall isn't doing it, but the linksys router might. Unfortunately, I can't test that. I'm on charter cable internet and the way its setup I can't be on the internet at all without that router, which also splits off my phone connection (vonage).

I can't change out that router either, in fact its config is password protected by charter. Since the only thing having trouble is FFXi, they "don't have to" check anything out -.-

Anyway I can try and find what went wrong over the last 3 days? Everything was fine till 3 days ago.
