error on EQ please help !Follow

i download the Everquest escape to norrath free trial .. and i get this error when i try to open the game "The procedure entry point MakeCriticalSectionGlobal could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll. So i downloaded KERNEL32.dll and placed it in the main folder hoping that would fix the error, but it didnt, so does anyone else know what i could do? I have windows XP so it shouldnt because my windows is old. So can someone please help me with this please
