That's what the last platoon sergeant was like before I got the job. I try to be as hands-off as possible, but then it's so damn boring.

Oooooh, nice.

I'm torn. I want a new PC, because my current one is dying a slow, painful death. On the other hand, I don't particularly want to pay for one.

I think the vacation thing will probably end up determining it for me. If I can't go to Slovakia, I don't need to pay for tickets to Slovakia, so I can buy a PC instead.

Selling the remains of my MtG collection for €500 has helped make it possible.

Also, you should go to Amsterdam sometime. Maybe for gay pride or something. Edit: I'll buy you a beer if you do, or a glass of wine or a cocktail or something.

Also, I'm probably going to Scotland for Beltane, cause fire and naked people is a pretty cool combination.

Not that cool when it literally combines.

Were? I'm waiting on the future Army of Börk to invade with their battleaxes.

Björk is Icelandic; we don't use umlaut.

I don't find it scary at all. Good for you Maz! Please teach them not to stand in the bad. It's a life lesson as well as an MMO one.

My many years of avoiding green goo and fire on the ground has made me the perfect chemistry teacher. One of the kids almost stepped on a piece of burning magnesium strip that fell to the floor. Danger averted with a quick "Fire = bad, derpface!"

Pretty soon you'll have them roleplay raid bosses. Do you have enough kids for 40 mans or do you need to start with ZG?

I have enough for two 40-mans, so we could alternate raid nights.

Funny story: Some of my students "accidentally" triggered the school's fire alarm during my science class. After the whole evacuation debacle was over, and we returned to the lab, I did a crash course in "How not to wipe my school when I fail at science." Some of them did not get the reference... It made me feel old. Smiley: frown

Or you could organize battlegrounds! 80 kids bashing each others' skulls in, what could go wrong?

Drug them, give half of them weapons and the other half survival tools, drop them off on a deserted island with cameras, give them some objective they need to complete in order to be rescued and ensure a decent body count, sell the dvds.

This is the kind of cogent, level-headed thinking we need more of.

What was the name of that movie again? Something Royale?

Battle Royale, Hunger Games, Lord of the Flies, etc.

There's quite a few out there about young teenagers murdering each other on a deserted island.

Hunger Games was a dumbed and watered down version of Battle Royale. Don't think I've seen slash read Lord of the Flies. There's really no reason* we can't trap unruly children and have them fight for survival. And turning a profit over it is just basic common business sense.

* I mean besides laws and stuff.

Do they in the book? I only saw the movie, and they left that part out.

Anyways BR is really great if you like to see annoying little ***** get what's coming to them. The majority of the students in it are just horrible, annoying people, and their deaths are actually kind of cathartic.
