That sounds about right. Our single target heals aren't anything near the powerhouses they used to be.

Don't forget your Holy Shock and Divine Light. It seems Blizzard wants us to use all of the tools at our disposal.

Although it's expensive mana wise, don't be afraid to use Divine Light when it's needed, it can heal for a fair whack.

Other than that, maximise your Holy Power generation by using Holy Shock on CD. Be aware of Daybreak procs and double up on HS when it happens. Use Light of Dawn if you can hit more than 3 or 4 people, otherwise use Word of Glory at 3HP. Remember that all heals transfer on beacon.

Holy Light is meant to be weak but mana efficient, this is a filler heal to use when you are topping up or during light damage phases. Don't expect to be able to just spam that one button to get through a heroic run.

You're going to have to use almost everything in your ******* in the gearing phases. I actually used Lay on Hands on a regular basis, about 3 or 4 times each run, in the early days. Hand of Sacrifice is also a good tool as we auto-heal ourselves with PoTI anyway.

Primary stat focus Int/Spirit. While gearing up focus spirit. Once you gear up int for trinkets, gems etc though a mix of spirit and int gems are fine.

Secondary stat is priority is Haste then Crit. Avoid Mastery altogether unless it is an upgrade and the reforge as much off as you can.

Keep beacon on the tank, Holy Shock on CD, at 3 use WoG or LoD depending on type of damage. Dust of LoH, also Guardian + Bomb heal = sex for massive spike damage. Healing as a paladin in Cata is not complex or challenging at all, mainly resource management with hella slow cast times and incoming damage. Pretty boring and not challenging so far.

Hi Ronathian.

First of all I'm glad to hear that you are using Holy Light very often, it is without doubt our main healing spell along with Holy Shock. In cataclysm alot of healers faced some mana problems, and we constantly have to think about which spells we are using and how much mana they cost.

I currently use this spec:
http://www.wowhead.com/talent#scIbzrzuufzhbZcb:acVfkqcMz

HASTE:
Haste is without doubt REALLY important to paladins in the new expansion. Before we were used to spam Flash of Light, but now that Flash of Light have become a very expensive spell I don't use it as much as before. From my spec I also gain 9% increase haste when I cast a judgement and I gain 3% haste from "Speed of Light" - This means that I have 12% increased haste in combat as I always use judge as my first used ability when entering combat. Which is why I also threw 2 points in "Improved Judgement" so I don't have to stand in the middle of everything to gain my 9% haste.

I reforge mastery and crit to haste.

CRIT:
Back in Wotlk we really wanted crit as it restored mana and gave us different benefits, but now crit does only have a proc on Holy Shock, which is why I ofcourse use the "Glyph of Holy Shock" to gain 5% increased crit on my Holy Shock.
Whenever Holy Shock crits you can increase your HPS (Healing Per Second) as it reduces the cast time of your next Divine Light or Holy Light. Don't prior crit too much in my opinion.

MASTERY:
Don't prior this too much, sure it is nice to get some reduced damage on your tank, but your tank should have and should use different damage reduction spells to make healing easier for you, and I don't think it's worth stacking mastery. I'd rather want some quick efficient heals than a shield that absorbs a bit damage.

PRIME GLYPHS:
Seal of Insight: 5% increased healing is always nice.
Holy Shock: 5% increased crit (meaning higher chance for your "Infusion of Light" to proc) is nice.
Word of Glory: Ofcourse you want 10% increased healing on your free instant healing spells. This spell should be used whenever you have 3 Holy Power.

This should basicly cover why I've specced as I did and why I love haste as a holy paladin.
I hope you can use some of this, and remember don't be afraid to use Flash of Light or Divine Light once in a while.
