Also, I decided to throw Slicing, Archaeology and Investigation on my Sentinel. Now I get to additionally support both Synthweavers and Artificers with mats, but also with new recipes I can (hopefully) discover with investigation. Slicing just makes me money.

Happy new years all.

Partied with friends in town. Some of my Swedish friends from college were at the same party. Good times.

Swedes are crazy.

Never trust a Swede.

Especially if they start talking about köttbullar.

They're good. Too good.

A Swede who includes meatballs in the conversation is obviously up to something.

Swedish meatballs are delicious though! Which reminds me, I haven't had some in a long time. I should ask my mom if we can have that for dinner sometime this week.

Are the meds... diuretic? I think that's the word for it.

Yeah they are. They have the potential side effect of reducing your appetite so you feel full before you actually are. Weird thing is, I don't feel like I'm eating less than I normally do.

Make sure the weight loss isn't from dehydration then. Drink a lot of water.

Eating less and taking diuretic meds means you're taking in less water than normal and losing it at a faster rate. Don't mean to be a party pooper, I just don't want you to end up in dialysis or anything.

Well, another side effect I've been having is dry mouth. So I've been drinking a lot more water than I usually do. I do appreciate the concern though. Smiley: smile
#12223 Jan 03 2012 at 3:44 PM Rating: Good
Actually, I'm pretty sure that side effect isn't even potential - if you don't get it, there might be something wrong elsewhere.

Speaking from experience here, dehydration is a concern not because of drinking less but because the stuff will actually actively dehydrate you, meaning you need to drink more than you normally would.

The appetite loss is not actually caused by the diuretic effects. I'm not 100% on this, but I think it's actually the other way around (something to do with reduced calorie intake and diffusion of sugars).

I barely +1 anymore, and sciencey words are awesome.
#12226 Jan 03 2012 at 5:10 PM Rating: Good
It's listed as a "potential" side effect, but I'm not sure how someone could be on amphetamines and not lose weight. That'd just be weird.

I dig Kali's sciencey words. They are awesome. Smiley: grin Plus it's nice not being the only girl that posts here on occasion.
