If one can of beer and one bowl of cereal is enough to buzz you, you probably shouldn't do either. Smiley: um

It's a flat bowl, and large cans. I doubt he could get more than one full can and the cereal without it spilling. I stand by my assessment.

It's still Guinness Draught, which means it's actually more like 0.75l of Guinnes mixed with 0.75l of water.

Well fine then, I'll just have to go get some Guinness and try. I'm not going to waste my full sail variety pack on an experiment.

I just rated you up for that. You won't notice and it won't actually do anything but it's the thought that counts, right?

Woo purebloods!

My only complaints with TOR right now are that my PC chokes on it if I don't turn the resolution down and that the voice actors are divided by class and not by race. So a human Sith Warrior sounds exactly like a pureblood. It gets...weird when you get into groups.

I'd been wondering about that... At least it's separated by class though. I figured all the Sith females had the same VA.

And protein, that was a bad, bad pun. Well done. Smiley: grin

Well, and Sith Pureblood is kind of a misnomer too, because the actual Sith race has been watered down significantly over the eons of Sith miscegenation with humans.

I don't think it's meant to say that they are true Sith in relation to the race, they are true Sith in relation to the doctrine in virtue of their blood.

A human can become true Sith, but they aren't born it.
It is the nature of someone with Sith blood, however, to be a true Sith.

The Sith were innately tied to the Dark Side, and the rate of force sensitivity among them was perfect. Any human hybrid with sufficient enough Sith blood to be considered a pureblood (exhibit traits and are strong in the dark side of the force) are nearly always force sensitives.

That's why they likely consider themselves purebloods. Unlike other races, their blood ties them to the dark side of the force innately.

The force is the actual point they care about. They wouldn't consider anyone without the force, even if they had Sith blood, to be a pureblood. And innate alignment to the dark side makes them Sith.

In that sense, it isn't a commentary on purity of genes. Its talking about the distinct features of the true Sith that they cared about--anyone who possesses those is "pure".

I have trouble believing that Digg, based on a quest you get in Korriban. There's a Sith Pureblood who wants you to scan four different high ranking lords in the academy, because he's on a mission from the emperor to determine the amount of lords who are Sith that actually have Sith blood in them. I wouldn't think they'd allow anyone who didn't have a good command of the force to be a lord in the empire, in particular, a lord teaching at the academy.

I remember the mission, but does he actually say that it's for the emperor? Because I was under the impression that he was just racist.

Plus, wouldn't they have checked that before they promoted them to Lords? I mean, some of those teachers are really, really old...

And I'm not saying that a non-Sith can't have good control of the Force. My only point was that purebloods who actually show the traits of them (red skin, tendrils, and/or horns) are guaranteed to be strong in the dark side. Gives the impression of them being an elite race. Doesn't mean that truly gifted force-sensitives can't come from others, but on average a Sith will be stronger.

/sigh

Finals are over. Which means that I am just stressed out by life's general woes now. Turns out that stress is of a much larger magnitude than finals stress. Awesome.

My parents live a good hour's drive from any area that has real firms of value. But I won't be able to afford those transportation costs without a paying job. I won't be able to find paid work, because it just doesn't exist. There's very little business in this area, so the chances of me getting a more menial paid job to finance the internship isn't very likely either.

None of my friends are getting apartments, since they all have close family they can live with close to economic centers. Which means that, to get a place close to one, I'd need to get a job, an internship, and a cheap apartment all in the same general location, all at once.

I think I'd like to go back to finals now.
