O.K., I need a straight answer here. How long is this charade going to continue? How long is everyone going to just keep posting and acting like Shadowstrike did not get a name change and drop the "d" in his name? Hm? How long?

Will he next be "Shaowstrike the Shay"?

FTL is on sale for $2.49 via their website.

Wish I had checked here before my email. I could've gotten a Steam key instead.

Sorry, I have a 1000 and 2000 hardmodded.

FTL is interesting, seems to be worth the 2.49, and I ended up getting that Rochard game for 1 dollar on the humble weekly... cause it was only one dollar. If it turns out to be good I'll feel bad about being cheap.

GetLoadedGo Bethesda sale. Pick any two games for $15:

Dishonored
ES Oblivion: GOTY Deluxe
ES Morrowind GOTY
Doom 3: BFG
Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Ed.
Fallout 3: GOTY
Hunted: The Demons Forge
Brink
Rage

No Skyrim, probably since they're releasing the Legendary edition and don't want to undercut their sales.

You should. I just finished it. 36 hours total but that's with 1 high chaos 1 low chaos run + the Knife of Dunwall DLC (Which was pretty good as well). Still even though it's fairly short replay was pretty high.

Holy F* the mafia 2 devs need a serious course in "How not to annoy your customers". It's kinda pretty and kinda atmospheric but good lord are the missions annoying so far. Hey Devs its F*ing 2013 let us save the game when we want.

Don't pay more than 10 bux for this PoS. Feels especially hard trying to push through it after Dishonored which I enjoyed.

I don't feel that strongly against it. Mainly that driving across town gets tedious and there isn't much to do outside of the missions besides heist cars for the junkyard guy and buy new suits.

The missions themselves I've felt were pretty balanced so far. I'd get flustered and certain that I'd fail but managed to beat them despite myself (gas stamps and trip to the doctor).

On the other hand, I only paid $8 for it a while back so so I got in under your $10 anyway Smiley: grin

Is it cheating to leave steam games running in the background while you do other stuff just to get cards?

Obviously you have not been reading all of the posts in this thread since the card beta went live.

Obviously. Too much work to go back and read through a dozen posts non-sale related when I get out of work.

Edit:
I made almost 5 dollars while playing FFXIV, and you can too!

Time to install my other games that are card enabled...

Edit 2:
I can sell a couple old items from TF2 as well... things I'll never use, but the 50 cents may go to a sale :)

Winter ends?!?! Well that's good news at least. Smiley: lol

I think for me it's the arbitrary save system. On that first car robbery I screwed up and wrecked into a cop car. Then I had to do the entire thing again from the walk into bar, fight random dude outside. Shoot other 4 guys, pick car lock...

Same thing happened to me at the gas voucher place before I looked up how to disable the silly alarm. Also my car got freakin worked on the dash to the gas stations. No idea how much that will cost me because that's about where I quit last night.

Yeah, okay. I'll give you the save thing. It's annoying because it discourages taking chances or experimenting with stuff. I had stolen two nice cars, outfitted them at the mechanics and put them in my garage. Then I was messing around with something else, got into an accident and died. It reset me at the end of my last mission and my cars were gone, etc. So I wind up playing more conservatively than I'd like.

And, yeah, the first car theft was a pain. I found out through trial and error that you can walk around the building, go up some stairs, come in from the side balcony and approach the car that way, avoiding the fistfight. When the dudes came out, I just busted the window and jumped in the car and tore on out of there before the gang dudes could get in their cars and mount a decent chase. Still, that was like Attempt #5 after four times of fighting the one guy, shooting the others, stealing the car, getting shot at and chased, crashing, dying, restarting, rinse & repeat.

I think the story is good. Not captivating but well enough to keep me interested. The setting is well done. Voice acting and characters are good (aside from the one creepy looking prostitute). I don't have a complaint about the gun mechanics or fist fighting. I think I just keep wanting to treat it like an Saints Row style open sandbox and it's more of a narrative driven game with a few open elements. It discourages ramming down the street in a truck and going on a massive shooting spree but it's a game about some mafia guy, not an insane lunatic with a shotgun.

I'll do you the favor of saying not to invest too much time into your bankroll since you're going to lose it anyway. Cars in your garage and clothes in your closet remain yours.

Also: Free nudie pics.
