Work pistol to 4 then focus on unarmed exp to 4.

Use the macros in the Tera Kasi Faq to master unarmed 4 fast.

Check it out here.

Also try some of the smuggler site lites on my link site below.

Find a friend that can tank and get aggro for you (high level hurtons on dant work)while you hammer away at them. If they have TKA and good armor they won't even get damaged much.

I did it the other way. Unarmed first then pistol, reason being is that you'll need to use the pistol for 2 trees in smuggler. I tried it the other way on a different server and it seemed a pain to switch to unarmed after achieving the pistol prereqs for novice sumggler. But that was w/o the use of marcos though. Do those macros make that much of a difference? I'm not much on macros...Just curious because its highly unlikely I'll do smuggler again =).

O and as for smuggler slicing was the most difficult thing to get through. If you can buy plenty crates of knives and clamps if you can afford it. Slicing terminals is free but the best way to shoot up to slicing weapons is slicing containers. But Vic's links are great and go into more detail check them out Baslisks. Good Luck with smuggler!

Put it this way, imagine hitting a white con mob unarmed for 1 point of damage and getting the full experience because the other damage was bled away (bleeding doesn't take overall exp).

So if you simply bleedshot (healthshot, mindshot, etc.), peace out after that so you do no normal pistol damage then all that goes into unarmed with little to no risk. Part of the problem that grinding unarmed has that ranged doesn't is melee take a huge beating --- this gets around that.

Read the TK faq, it is helpful for a number of combat profs, not just melee.

Once you get Novice Smuggler check out my vendor at -451 4300 outside of bestine for clamps, knives, crates of survival knives and weapon/armor upgrade kits.

If you have scout skills save every hide/bone/meat you can to help you grind out the spicing tree with Shadowpaw. 25 organic to 5 metal.

Start collecting locked containers from day 1. Find them, loot them, buy them if you have to. You'll need something like 20 when the time comes to learn slicing and you'll pull your hair out looking for them then if you dont have them.

Thanks for the info Vic! I'll incorporate macros in a new character that I have planned. I appriciate the insight.
