I was wondering if i could use a CD key that had been used by an old account to unlock the full version of the game or do I have to rebuy the game? The old account is no longer active also.

If you are going to make a totally new account you will need to buy the game again as the CD key is tied to the account and ONE USE ONLY. However, you may still possibly re-activate the account if you so wanted. I'm not sure what blizzard's cut off is for re-activation, if there is even one.

If the reason that the old account is no longer active is that it got perma-banned, purchasing a new copy of the game might not enable you to get a new account, since your personal information may be flagged.

I'd try re-activating the old account before going out and buying a fresh copy of WoW.

No i wasent perma-banned. My brother just got the game and i figured since i dont play anymore i could just give him mine. And off the topic is it just me or is this site and worldofwarcraft.com are going very very slow.
