General

- All players will have their talent points reimbursed and will have access to
new talents throughout their trees; this includes the 41-point talents. Several
new abilities have also been added for all classes.


buggerz, just hit 39 with that little warrior of mine and was happy the way i was... looks like more TIME to figure out what to change and what to keep/reset...

also loads of other toons to go back over to reset too. oh well i guess this is the ONLY way to make major changes to the talent tress without pissing everyone off.

- Low-level spells cast by high-level players will receive smaller bonuses from
+healing and +spell damage.
- HoTs, DoTs, and channeled spells have been re-balanced to receive a more
appropriate (higher) percentage of +spell damage and +healing. [/v]

hmm now this sounds interesting and looks like a lazy mans way for blizzard to prevent spamming of rank 1 or 2 spells to keep the MT healed in a raid and forcing healers to use much higher rank spells thus creating more heal agro and mega change to dynamics in raids and instances... should prove interesting to watch the semi good healer die much more often *grins*.

maybe healers will really learn how to heal and warriors will really learn how to hold agro.

/rant loads of horrid tanks on my server and the worst part is their close friends (people they group with a lot) think they are great. that is until they see a much better tank played... /rolls eyes.

[i]- HoTs from different sources will now stack (i.e. multiple druids can cast the Rejuvenation spell on 1 target).

- The player will gain 0.1% to their critical strike rating per weapon skill
against monsters above their level.

- When casting a buff on a low level target, the appropriate rank of the buff
will automatically be applied.


nice little stealing of a UI mod that blizzard is NOW MAKING AGAINST THE RULES OF THE GAME... im really confused. how can they say it is not allowed to have a UI mod that does this, then they do it them self? now dont get me wrong, i love this UI ability as it is such a royal PITA as a healer at 1 rank to high for the lowest level member in your group and have to keep the bloody spell book open when in an instance just to heal them.

Warriors

- Rage generation from dealing damage has been normalized.
- All Rage awards are averaged with our expected rage per swing (adjusted for
weapon speed).

oh well i guess it was about time the warriors got hit with the nerf bat.

and the WORST thing, no mention at all in the BUG fixes of the annoying combat chat window being fixed.

The problem is that Freezing Trap pulls you out of combat the second you cast it, not when your target it frozen. Now instead of a Feign Death + Freezing Trap macro I'll need a Freezing Trap + Auto Shot macro.

I usually throw out my traps before my opponent gets in my face. I see why they made the change though.

It's a little bit different... what Blizzard is preventing UI Mods from doing is downranking spells automatically when casting on high level players. Like a mod that detects that your target is only down 400 hp and casts a rank 3 heal on them instead of the max rank. They're providing this automatically so that they can disable the functionality they don't like across the board.

All this will do is prevent "This target is too low level" messages, and you won't need a separate mod to do so. (It'll work with HOTs too, as they are considered buffs. Pure heals have always worked fine on lowbies) This should have been basic game functionality from the start, IMO, much like many of the UI changes that have gone in over the months the game has been live, like the quest helper, and being able to display health and mana bars for an entire raid at once.

Now I don't play my mid 30's level hunter much at all, but if I understand the change of switching from melee to autoshot based on range. Couldn't you just right click on your target? That would initiate combat, and since you'd be out of range it would autoshoot?

It's not in the notes (I could be blind) but I don't see the raid debuff limit going from 16 to 40. Is that still the case?

So far, I'm loving it.. the only thing I'm iffy on is the auto-shot being turned on automaticallt when backing out of melee range.... don't like this at all.... I'll turn on my auto-shot when I please, thanks.... I hope there is a way to turn this off.. (doesn't seem there is though)

This increases the risk of un-CCing a target..... I don't think I like it... but will see how it plays out.
