A Warriors Pet?Follow

#1 Dec 04 2006 at 9:29 PM Rating: Decent
I'm a L47 Warrior that recently aquired a L1 Dark Whelping. My questions is, can or does he help me fight or is he something that will just annoy me with his flapping noise. I have looked up pet commands but nothing seems to work. Please advise, clueless in this matter.

I'm guessing thats a answer...?

Oh and I don't have an answer for you, don't know much about pets. I was just commenting on the above posters response, so um, yeah. Goodluck! Smiley: wink <thumbs up>

It's like all other pets in the game save for those the hunter tames, or the warlock aquires from quests, which means it doesn't attack anything. Just a little novelty pet.

On a sidenote, the Worg and Spider pets from the lbrs quests USED to see through stealth and attack things, but blizzard took their ability to fight away cause it kinda nulled stealth/prowl in PvP. The little oozling pets are the only non-combat pets that do anything now, and unfortunately, it gives you a debuff. Think it lowers your defense, or resistances, or both.

Firstly, congrats on getting a whelpling; they're incredibly rare and/or expensive (this site shows them at approximately 0.07% drop rate).

Dark whelplings are non-combat pets. They're purely for appearances. Here you'll find a list of all currently known non-combat pets. None of them do anything in battle except look cute. The exceptions are some mechanical pets that engineers can build, like the gnomish battle chicken, the mechanical dragonling, and mechanical yeti. All the rest just follow you around and look nifty. :)
