I own a gateway that pretty new and

i got a new comp with a 1440 x 900 damn wide screen..and With my 2 Gb ram 7300le Intel 2 duo core processors I only get about 10-20 FPS ( I haven't even TRIED to get into SW or IF) i cal playon high settings as well.

When I change it to smaller res it is better but on 1024 x... it ooks SOO spread out and my chars look fat and looks bad..

Can anyone plzz help me..outside of wow its okay( even though get a message saying to change the optimum or whatever outside of wow??) it really makes me mad because it buonces between 10-20...and mostly on averages around 12..

Wide screen may not be good for gaming but why am I having problems?? ( my WIDESCREN res is 1440 x 900)

anyone can help plz?

I havent treid to get into IF or Sw but if im lagging outside of them places then I will surely lagg inside of em aswell ( although I know EVERYONE deals with lagg)

In wow's video options, there are several selections that have "(wide)" next to them. 1280 x 800 would keep the same ratio (1.6) of width to height as your current screen resolution. Try that.

Another thing you could try would be selecting windowed mode from wow's video options and don't maximize the window.

Here's the wiki for the list of screen resolutions. Fine one that is the same aspect ratio at 1440x900.
