I am currently prot specced. Come TBC I am going fury, dual wield so I can level from 60-70. In preperation of this, I am in the midst of getting items that will allow me to kill things faster. As of now I have my Thunderfury, looking to get a Core Hound Tooth and I am eyeing Darkmoon Card: Maelstrom.

My questions are:

Does the Thunderfury proc help/hinder/prevent/augment the proc the Darkmoon Card: Maelstrom gives off? Are they independant of each other?

I heard the darkmoon set crits, is this based on gear with +dmg or is that on its own?

Anyone out there that has had experience with this particular Darkmoon set? Any along with Thunderfury?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Wow, great question. Since they are 2 separate items and both aren't too awful easy to get, they should work independently of each other having their own proc rates and what not. If they are dependent on each other then Blizzard will surely fix it in a patch but it would've been already addressed by now I would think.
