Iv been playing WoW for about 6 months now, at first I had 512mb Ram, and A Radeon 9200 APG graphics card, and well it didnt work to well, not so much lag outside of cities but when I entered one, it was almost unplayable. Anyways I upgraded to 1 gig of ram and it helped alot, but it still lags at times, but not near as much as before. It works pretty well but I decided the problem is the graphics card. So I order a ATI Radeon® X1600 Pro Video Card, its about 179.99 CAN, and also I ordered another gig of ram. So my question is is this graphics card, and another gig of ram well worth my money? I no the ram is fine, 2gigs is well over enough, but if im willing to spend that much on a card is that one worth it? Im only asking this because I don`t know to much about graphics cards and im hoping this upgrade should keep me lag free, other then server lag of course :P

Its a little expensive but its a good card. I'd say sell your old card on e-bay.

I have 1 GB of RAM and an ATI Radeon X300 PCI Express card. I'm also considering another gig of RAM and the X1600 one you linked to. (I get some pretty bad lag in the cities)

My keyboard has an LCD display that cycles through various information. One of them is how much RAM I'm using. When playing WoW, it sits at about 92-98% used. I don't think 2 gigs of RAM is overkill.

Then again, I plan on upgrading the video card first and seeing how things improve before upgrading the RAM. It might be that the card is forcing my PC to use more RAM? Not that I know much about computers, it was just a thought.

Maybe you should upgrade the card first as well, and see if you still need more RAM. Then again, if you have the money, I feel both upgrades are well worth it.
