For those who haven't yet seen, one of the newest features on the WoW site is a selection of regularly updated statistics - most looted items, items most often sold on AH, etc. One of them is mobs who have killed the most players.

It starts off as you might expect...Drek'Thar at 1, Vael at 2, Onyxia at 3...

Then number 5: Defias Pillager

This very nearly made me embarrass myself by LoLing in the office. Proof that those damn pillagers seriously need to be nerfed!

Edit: Clicky

Hogger should be number 1. I think we as a board should do something about this. Everyone make level 1 humans and just run at hogger as much as possible.

That's clearly wrong. The one with the most kills is the Undercity Lift. No question.

Gnomeregan alarmobot... I still have the shakes when I recall that experience.

That's great, I love how 3 of the 4 warlock pets made it into the top 20.

I've died to a number of creatures (and the Undercity elevator as well.) I think the ones that fill me with the most dread are those Harpies in Charred Vale and those Nagas in the cave in Darkshore. That one Dragonkin in the Talon Den proved a challenge as well.

I have never seen Hogger as being that bad but then the lowest character I've fought him with was a level 13 Dwarf warrior.

I don't remember ever dying in Westfall but then every time I've been there it has been so overrun with players that it was hard to find stuff to kill for the quests.

Fizzle Darkstorm is the bane of my Hordeside early leveling. I have died many times to that quest. My first four Horde characters all ended up getting aid on doing that quest but I finally soloed it with a level 13 Rogue last night and it sure felt good to do it. I used to think Zalzane was tough (and he is) but I learned the trick to taking him out with my first or second character so I don't worry so much anymore.

I also hated the silithid egg gathering quest in the Barrens with my Warrior and my Rogue though it was refreshingly easy with my Hunter. I need to send my Mage down there now.

Stupid Devilsaurs... one of the biggest non-boss mobs in the game probably kills most of its hapless victims by sneaking up behind them while theyre engaged with another mob. Doesnt seem right.

Theyve only gotten me once, but it was as cheap a death as Ive suffered. And, of course, it was on the extreme opposite end of the crater from the GY. /spit

It'd be cool if you could filter that list for nomral/elite/quest mobs and so forth. (And the loot rankings to exclude Greys/Whites/etc)

OMG is that quest hard for the level you get it. For a mage it possibly wouldnt be so bad, some AOE and no problem.

Fizzle i have never completed that quest, for the sole reason that he is too hard alone.

My Rogue managed the egg gathering quest by carefully picking and choosing which 'nest' to go after - basically avoiding any possible contact with the swarmers. I managed it easily but it took a long, long time of stealthing around to find which nests I could handle.

My Hunter just waltzed in and let the pet handle the swarmers though I did have to make one escape run when I got caught by two swarmer patrols while working on one of the regular ones. I managed to get out of range of my pet so my pet didn't die and just had to be recalled. LoL

I'm not good at Mage yet so my AOE skills are a bit weak but I still find it a fun class to play, so hopefully I can manage without ******** up too bad.

Awesome.

Did anyone notice that the soul shard's the most created item? By almost a million, too... I lawled at that...

Somehow I think that they should remove soul shards and minions from the lists. It just doesn't seem fair somehow...

I just want to know why Drek'Thal was at number one with like 79,000 and Stormpike was not until 14 or something with 25,000.

Does this mean the Horde just never get to Vandar or do they run out of the room when they get attacked?

I'm not surprised, actually. There are so many lowbies that go to Westfall and get the quest to kill them. They are very hard for their level; their fireballs can hit for 70-100. At level 15.

Ok this made me proud. Warlocks and their minions are among the fifteen deadliest things in World of Warcraft. Watch out.

Ah yeah, I hated the pillagers with a passion. They hit insanely hard for their level, and there are very few ways at that point to interrupt their cast. As a mage, the only way I could beat them would be to DPS them down ASAP. If another one linked the battle would be over.

It doesn't surprise me at all that it's so far up there.
