Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that during my AV binge, I happened to run across Laintime (of warrior PvP video fame, http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=7615 ) twice while on my weenie level 52 paladin.

The first time, I was left as the sole defender of Iceblood Graveyard. (we won't even get in to the stupidity of leaving a level 52 as the sole graveyard defender) and was squashed rather efficiently. (I didn't even bother bubbling)

The second time he had just started fighting a warrior, so being a holy-spec paladin, I did what I'm supposed to do in PvP. I hid behind a tree stump and healed, and we killed Laintime. :)

Sure helped boost my only-healing PvP outlook, being able to say that indisputably because of me, despite only being level 52, a very hardcore and skilled PvPer died. :)

I spent my Thanksgiving more or less ill with the flu. YAY for being sick on vacation!

In any event, it had to be the best weekend so far in WoW.

1) I got my other side of the bindigs from Garr in WoW on Saturday.
2) My guild defeated Thunderaan, Ragnaros, and Onyxia on Sunday.
3) I played with my shiny, new Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker.

YAY! After seven grueling months and having only two bindings drop, I finally have my orangy new sword.

I love that sword proc.

Excellent. I still have a good chance. I was worried since I have to go do some course work for grad school tonight (group meetings and such).

(Minimally) I want to be 33-50% through 54 by the time I drag my **** back to work Monday morning.

Got it (~55.1 actually)

First of all... blah blah blah... Thanksgiving was nice. Saw Borat with my grandfather (his choice -- not surpizingly, he hated it). Avoided the malls. Watched A History of Violence with my family... it was pretty decent.

Wed/Thurs... Got a lot more done than I was hoping/expecting in very limited playing time. Dinged 53 Thursday, which put 55 within reach.

Friday... Wasted a lot of time trying to get two seperate Pugs through ZF. The first group made it as far as the first fountain area before breaking up. The second group made it, but after the temple script I somehow managed to miss the Medallion for the sharpbeak quest chain. Any other quest, I'd just abandon, but I dont want to be among the masses trying to scramble for Wildhammer Rep once it means something to the game. For that reason, I'd like to finish Sharpbeak, so I'll probably have to head back at some point. /wrist

Saturday... Spent most of my time in Searing Gorge. Wrapped out a bunch of those quests. Dinged and got about half way through 54. Had some vid card/driver issues over around the eastern slope into the gorge. I crashed twice running through there Saturday, and once finishing something up on Sunday. Needless to say, I was concerned. But since (for now) it seems specific to that one area... I'll just keep to the elevator if/when I go back.

Sunday... I pretty much had exactly enough time to make the last ~90k to 55. Finished up in the Gorge (the third freeze/crash had me ready to pull my hair out, but that's when I figured out it was only happening in the one area) and headed to Ungoro. Finished a few quests and hit 55 shortly before I had to log for the evening.

Quite a weekend. I think my interface has been burned into my retnas, as I can see my shadows of my hotkeys when I blink :P. Under normal circumstances... ~350k XP probably would have taken me a week or more... but thanks to the misfortunes of some hapless zealots and the charity of the native people of this land however many generations ago... I was able to capitalize and squeeze it into one 4-day weekend. Huzzah! Here's to 57 by next Sunday, and plenty of lv 60 farming time between now and BC.

Let's see ... Skipped MC this weekend. Spent Friday night working on getting my rogue to 60 (Succeeded!!! YESSS!!! That's #2) and my wife's Paladin to 60 (Didn't quite get there.) She's about 7% away from 60. It's gonna happen tonight.

Spent some time in Scholo and Strath with friends and guildies. Good times.

Saw a group of 4 (Hunter, 2 Warriors and a mage) go from the Magistrate in Strath Dead to downing the zerg and the 6 warriors (or is it 8?) afterwards - with no healing. I, as the only rezzer, went down to an unlucky blow (everything on cooldowns and mana low from a bad pull) and the hunter's XL Goblin Jumper Cables didn't work. Still, that was VERY impressive.

Oh, got my Paladin to 240 Blacksmithing and level 38.5. I'm torn as to which should be the next one to push to 60 - my mage (300 tailoring/enchanting at level 45) or the Paladin? Ideas? Both are fun and interesting.

RL? Ate too much for Thanksgiving and took my wife out for our 12th wedding anniversary on Saturday (ended up being a lunch instead of dinner 'cause a good friend of the family needed some emergency counsoling). Oh, well. I've got her the rest of my life. The friends can borrow her for an evening.

RL:

Had a good Thanksgiving. Went to a parade on Friday and watched the fireworks, which is where my wife and I offically started dating 3 years ago so its kind of an important thing for us. Sister in-law had a baby girl on Sunday so that was pretty neat.

WoW:

Played my hunter all day Saturday and that's about it. Got rid of all my green gear with AV rep and an UBRS run. Still sit at pretty low AP but my crit % is over 17% now at least. I need a new melee wep, preferably Peacemaker/Barb Blade.

It was a pretty darn productive weekend,
Im shocked how much I have got done.

I ran ZF three times, leveled from 47-49. Main healer, and i thought i did a pretty darn good job for it, considering im only a resto specced shaman.

I got my carrot, but nothing else good from any of the runs.

Im thinking about respeccing just to get some PVP for the next few days, since im at 49. Then speccing back to resto to level up to 60.

I think thats about all, oh i spent about 1 hour in WPL with my hunter, i got a new kitty and she is only level 20, so I was working on getting her to a higher level. Why does it take so long to level pets? Argh!

I got tired of seeing my warlock and paladin sitting at 58 so I decided to play them this weekend. I took them out to Azshara to farm felcloth for my tailors. By the end of the weekend they had both reached the level cap and my tailors have enough felcloth to keep them busy for over a week.

I also joined a new guild. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping it works out.

My weekend doesn't start until Thursday. I'll be going to lunch with mom and my boyfriend at the Chinese Buffet. I think I also promised my mom a little shopping on Friday though not much because she gets tired quickly.

Yep - went pretty much as planned - Mom didn't even nag me about the boyfriend (who isn't good enough for me, of course.)

I want to run my Troll Warrior (36) back down to Steamwheedle to see what I can fish up from there. I ran down there Sunday and it looks like I'll need lures to combat the 'fish got away' messages but I was able to pull something up. I think I will try it late since I've read that the eels are more plentiful then. I'm also thinking of using her to grind some silk and wool from 'gray' humanoids for our other characters. I'm trying to hold back her leveling too much until my boyfriend's shaman catches up a bit (he's 33 now). The things we do.....LoL

Well, about the only thing I got done with her is hold her back but he is working on catching up to me so I'm happy. I took a little run around Shimmering Flats/Thousand Needles to mine a bit and ended up helping out a druid up in High Perch and talked him into doing the escort quest with me (which I hadn't done) so that was fun. I also helped him with the caged Panther quest. I do like helping people from time to time - feels good. I also took her a few laps around the Wailing Caverns outer area to pick up a bunch of greens to put on the AH.

I think I will take my Rogue fishing in Stonetalon again so I can get fish to send to the boyfriend so he can raise his cooking skill. LoL I also hope to find some wreckage pools because he needs some bolts of silk for his tailor and the boxes usually yield a decent amount.

I gave it a go but the boxes weren't yielding much silk. I did take her into the Wailing Caverns area to work on the Deviate Hides quest and finish off the SerpentBloom since both quests had gone gray on me. While I was there I accepted an invite to go into WC (my first actual 'group' experience. LoL) We didn't get far but I had a good time and ended up chatting with one of the guys for quite some time after we gave up on WC and did other stuff. I ended up going back to WC (not the instance) to finish off the hides and do the wailing essences.

I leveled my Mage up to 25 and got a few more of her quests done. I got her to Ashenvale and did the Zoram Strand Naga killing. She's fun to play - a big difference from playing Warrior and Rogue.

Quote:
I think my Alliance characters will get some play time since they should have some nice rests built up. I also want to get some of my other Trolls up into the Silverpine quests if I can free up enough quest log space.

No on the Silverpine but I talked the boyfriend into helping out my NE Rogue on some quests with his 48 NE Hunter. It was fun and we even got a nice blue drop off of a furlbog. My Rogue also spent some time fishing up Deviates and so I upped my gold a little. She also spent some time on some other Rachet quests and ended up following a Troll Rogue around skinning his kills. He didn't seem to mind especially when I helped out with some adds.

I did finally run my 15 Dwarf warrior to Menithil. I finished all of the Teldrassil quests on her last night and managed to push her to level 16. I think I'll have her do a few of the easier Darkshore quests and then head back to Loch Modan. I finally got to test out her treasure hunting ability since there are no mines on Teldrassil so that was fun. LoL

This weekend should be pretty busy and hopefully productive. I think we're doing a full clear of ZG tonight, and then Onyxia/MC tomorrow night. Not sure what's up for Sunday. It would be nice to get a few upgrades to my gear while we're at it.

We did all of ZG except Hakkar on Friday night, Saturday night we cleared MC up to Domo but couldn't attempt him as we had to many people with us from outside the guild. After this, we went to ZG to take down Hakkar. However, our usual puller was not there so I was asked to pull. Needless to say it didn't go well as every time I had to pull the Son was as far away as they can get on their patrol. Plus I didn't have anyone ready to crowd control him once I got the Son to where everyone was. Too many new people to the encounter = no go.

Sunday night we killed Onyxia again, went to MC and downed Domo who dropped the leaf but it went to another hunter. I hope I'll be somewhat close to the front of the line for it, I really want that bow. They went to kill Hakkar after that but I couldn't go as I had studying to do. No gear upgrades this weekend, but I will hopefully have positive dkp at least now.

Also managed to get a level up on my priest alt which was a nice surprise.
