Actually turning in yellow and orange colored quests for your level seems to help WAY more than just grinding monsters because normally you have to kill a lot on your quests anyway then the quest XP on top of that. I am close to having my first Lev 60 (got the game in Oct 06) and originally I did grinds to try to level. It was lengthy AND boring. Now, thanks to the advise of a player with 5 60's, I stared turning in as many quests as I could and only grind when I want Rep with a Faction, the pace really picked up. If a quest turns grey in your log and it is of little significance, drop it. If a quest is Orange or Red, try to round up a small party unless it is something completely silly like bringing a package somewhere. BFD, while over in Ashenvale, may be a good source of XP too as Dungeon Quest Turn-Ins seem to be worthwhile.
Don't just limit yourself to Duskwood, there's some quests in Loch Modan (eastern side of the Loch and down by the digsite) and Wetlands available around that level too.
