Explosion in gankingFollow

#1 Nov 08 2006 at 9:13 PM Rating: Decent
Hillsbrad Foothills was always a pretty decent place on my server. I usually was ganked once or twice a night. In the past 2 nights the alliance has gone insane with ganking. In the last 2 nights I was ganked at least 20 times. Alliance constantly attacks TM now literally there is a warning of attack about every 15 minutes.
In Hillsbrad fields there is now always anywhere from 1-5 people patrolling to gank Horde. I also noticed that in the census Bleeding Hollows Horde Population fell yet again to 25% Horde to 75% Alliance. This has begun to frustrate me to the point of wanting to switch servers. Anyone else notice anything like this?

As far as i have seen on Ravenholdt its the opposite, and i wont tell you how bad it is to do quests in STV. Probably the alliance on your server just got really peeved about been raided somewhere or "doing unto others before its done to them", sorry but if it happened on ravenholdt i'd join in.

Yeah that's why I don't bother to level in TM anymore. I don't mind pvping, but when I'm trying to quest and level, I can do it a lot faster without having to deal with allies trying to make their epeen look bigger by killing someone 10+ levels lower than them.

No offense intended towards those who prefer a PvP server but this is why I roll on a PvE. I like PvP but it's not something I want to do every time I log in, nor is being ganked by some ally or horde 10+ levels higher than me that wants to kill somoene who can't fight back.

I'm primarily horde and I prefer it but when I need a break from the "grind" and reputation within my guild and all, I do have a few alliance alts I play that I can do my own thing with. On a PvE server, I can do that more without worrying about the things you folks have to deal with. However, I salute anyone who has the patience to deal with obnoxious gankers like that. /salute.

i like playing on pve but for the last week there has been this lvl ?? dwarf on there who tries to get me to duel w/ him. i mean he is totally relentless. once i run into him i spend the next 20 minutes trying to get him away from me. i know the horde has total a$$holes too but the allience seems like they have the monopoly.

That's the population "balance" there. Generally, the Allaince can Monopolize anything if it doesn't have a set number of players. Great example of this is World PvP...I see no point to it anymore, Horde just get wiped out from the 3-1 ratio.

If you want to avoid ganking, one approach is to play on an older server with a low population. I play on Dentarg and Hakkar, and they have been low population for a long time. The ganking is low because there aren't many people. Of course, that means it is harder to get a group, too. It used to be impossible to get into battlegrounds, but now it is no problem with interserver. If you are in the 20's, I would just start over on another server and see how it goes. I played on half a dozen servers before finding what I liked.

Like Addicted said, I play on Hakkar. On a bad day I will get ganked twice. Unfortunatly, on this server, it takes a nice hour or more to find a group for a POPULAR instance such as Maradon. Dont get me started how long it takes to find a group for things like Gnomergan. Although at lvl 60 it isn't so bad because the majority of the server seems to be 60 and there are some nice endgame guilds.

On Dentarg, when we geat a group together for an instance, we tend to run it multiple times while we can. I rarely get ganked, but often I get into one versus one situations where we actually have a fair fight.
