I admit that I didn't read through all the posts that flamed the op to QQ and all that, so if this has already been mentioned, just smack me on the head and tell me to STFU noob.
Anyway, you have to remember that Hillsbrad is the closest FP that alliance players have in order to get into Alterak Mountain, Silverpine Forest, That zone where all the Undead people come from (sorry rarely go there unless I want to run SM). Also it's where higher level alliance need to go in order to travel to the Hinterlands, Western Plaguelands, and Eastern Plaguelands in order to get those FP's.
Don't forget all those lvl 60's who have since decided that mining wasn't providing an ample enough income, and have just switched to herbalism and need to grind up to skill 300, Hillsbrad provides a great place to grind up some of those lower level herbs.
Not to mention all those fishermen who want to pharm some oilies from the coast while killing off the naga for clams (for the occational pearl).
Oh, and don't forget to QQ nub (just kidding), and roll on a PVE server if you're tired of getting ganked.

I am a lvl 35 hunter and have been ganked so many times by High lvl horde and been camped it has now become a habit ;-)
So my thought is red = dead anywhere, anytime and when you least expect it and I do not care what you were peacefully doing. Because that is what horde do to alliance as has been demonstrated numerious times.
As many have already said it is a PvP server and not exactly a "why can't we all get along" server.

I play horde and have been playing for a week now and just today was my first time in HB, I was doin my quests peacefully when i got targetted by an ?? NE hunter, all i did was run as fast as i cud to the guards, 2-3 times i escaped but atlast he got me, i just laffed it off to myself but didn't care much, he wasn't bad cos he didn't camp my corpse, then again he cudn't cos he killed me quite close to our guards. IMO this is a PVP server but i do agree with one post that say if its grey where is the honor in killing it and second for the 2 posts that said red = dead, does that mean u kill everythin on your way from one place to another, i mean comon not only does the oppo shows red but all the monsters and beast in between.
playing for a week i havn't come across one char that kills everythin that looks red >< just wondering wht u guys meant.

What MY definition of red=dead is:
If I am running to an area (or in an area) and I see a red player, one of three things WILL happen:
1. Said red player will attack me
2. I will attack said red player
3. ONE or Both of us will run screaming like a little girl!
That is what I like about PvP and playing in contested areas!!
If you think the SS area is bad, wait till you are going for your Artisan cooking and have to do the quest in Tanaris!!!! OH_WEE DOGGIE got owned by 10 lvl 60 horde for about 2 1/2 hours!!! It was impressive! But then again, that is what happens when your unguilded and a mid-thirty in a lvl 50 area!! I believe they finally left me alone out of sheer boredom ;-)

Theres always gonna be ganking, creepjacking and whatnot in Horde+Alliance questing zones, STV being a prime example. Theres no point in paying anymore attention to this thread as its always the same arguments and same complaints...if you don't like being ganked, go roll on a pve server.
I must say the most amusing gank attempts are when 3+ lowbies try to take out one higher level toon, thats happened to me a few times in SS, funny as hell when I run and double back to imp sap them or play with them with blind-vanish, that, my friends, is the ultimate payback.

Killing is fine, its why we join a PvP server and not a PvE server. However, standing over people for hours and killing them over and over is not fine and anyone who does it should rot in hell.
