Why do ppl level ?? gank level 30s and such below...there is no honor in it and it jus screws someones day up....i only kill ppl lower level than me if they are afk because i thinks that is hilarious!!! they were close to my level anyways so i got an HK...but why the level?? (most likely 40-60) kill ppl that don't give honor?

I fail to see how someone who could kill a player who's AFK is any better than a ganker. If anything, you're actually worse...as least a potential ganking victim has a chance to run or fight back. You're actually so hideously cowardly that you'll attack someone who isn't there to fight back? O.o

Honestly...by the title of this thread, I'll assume you're an Alliance player? You're not doing a fine, upstanding job of representing my home team to a faction who already have a very distorted veiw of the alliance as is.

Agreed. It is one thing to gank lower levels just as a privalege of suffering through that yourself. But attacking AFK players to get honor? How low is that? That's worse then a 60 sitting right outside tarren mill or southshore killing everything that moves.

Meeh... I got ganked a lot while leveling my horde rogue. Everything and their brother attacked me. I'd venture to say that I had more PvP action with people who were level 60 or close to it than with people aroud my own level. I personally don't go out of my way to gank lowbies, but occasionally it does happen (generally on the way to ZG since you're running through STV). My favorite 2 things to do:

1) Sap camp - you can sap lowbies forever... I generally sap people 2-3 times if they are OOC and then /wave /salute and mount up.

2) Naked boxing - I have item rack set up to swap off all my gear and put on a low level pair of fist weapons... generally I try to work them down to 10% or so then gouge>restealth>sap>/salute>mount.. or just eviscerate them and make them run (generally only done to hunters and NEs).

Well, I would have to agree that killing players that are afk is a sign of a looser. I only kill those who are dumb enough to attack me or that are in my hunting grounds for that period of time. There is nothing like a friendly wave only to get a shot in the back when your low health. Kill or be killed. I sometimes will play with the lower levels that are in contested areas. I'll mark them and watch them run around with that stupid little arrow on their heads. Mark them on the boats and watch them jump ship before you zone out. I have never camped low levels in an alliance only area because I don't like to be places where I can't attack first.

From what I understand alliance can’t win most BG's so they are usually pissed off and want to make someone's life miserable. Someone they can kill that really can't hurt them too bad. I see alliance in lower level areas trying to gain agro from the 10-20 so they can kill them. Some of them request a duel only to flag you so they can kill you a few times. It's called a grief killing that’s all they want really.

Dueling in a bluebie area won't flag you unless you keep attacking as the duel ends.

Both sides do it, afk or just grey. It says more about the individuals than it does the faction. You can choose either to follow suit or not, up to you.

I don't really see why people get upset about killing people who are afk. If someone is stupid enough to go afk while in a contested zone then that's their problem. They can always just hearth back to an inn if they think they are going to be gone for a while.

Maybe my opinion on it is skewed but I just spent about ten levels in STV getting ganked hourly so now I am looking for revenge. :)

I don't see much world PvP on a PvE server, but when I heard that a bunch of Alliance just fell over a lone Horde outside SM you can bet I rode over and ganked the first flagged elf I saw.

I play on a PvE server. My orc friend and I occasionally sneak over to Teldrassil (he does it more often than I do lol) and run around freaking everyone out. Kill umm.. I can't remember their names. Those 3 npcs on the mounts though. And then run off and hide till we're unflagged... Then go back to running around freaking the nelfs out lol. That's fun.
The only time I'll attack a lower lvl is if they're following me taunting me and flagged.. or if they run by and I know them to be an ******* anyway (I play Alliance from time to time as well). Otherwise it just feels pointless. You don't get honor, and it's not like you're skilled or anything killing someone 50 levels lower than you.

I'm alliance. I will gank:

Horde that try to touch me :P As in their team of 5 lowbies thinks they'll take me out, and then fail :D

And I will also gank rogues because ya know what? I hate them, and I've been ganked by more horde rogues than ANYTHING!

I however will not gank horde warriors :P Warriors have it the hardest, and I play a warrior so I respect them :P

Though I deleted my warrior....need my own account o.O....and will actually start a rogue as a main because my friend is already a warrior for the high end raids :P Rogues are really fun to play :)

I will do it, but I will not camp their grave.....usually because they are calling their buddies to come kick my rear.

I will gank the AFK on my PvE server. I mean flagging yourself PvP and then letting yourself go AFK before the 5 min are up? That's just plain stupid and sloppy.

Oooh - 500th post

Killing AFK people is worse than killing people way lower than you. 'Nuff said.

I don't think the point was so much that he was killing afk people...it's that he made a post ******** about people killing lower level players who can't defend thesmselves, and then went on to admit killing afk people. It's less the act, than the hypocracy of it.

This is economy is full of idiocy ya'll change the point of a thread for no reason so go !@#$ yourselves ya'll are all idiots w/ no lifes! except for the ppl who answer the question that was asked. 'nuff said

I'm a horde on a PvP server. I really didn't understand why horde players hated the alliance so much until I leveled up enough to enter contested territory. After hours spent walking back to my ganked body I vowed to return the favor. Oh and special thanks to the allied rouge who killed me while i was hiding on a haystack in the barn from the allied invasion of Tarren Mill. Now as a 60 priest I leave no alliance unkilled, from lvl 1-60, afk or there. If I see one - he/she isn't going to have a nice day.

REMEMBER TAREN MILL!

Whoa dude chill. Some of us have been killed while AFK and express that same views as you on killing lower levels, but we just don't like AFK killing either because we have been victims of it.

I can see why you're a scholar. Lol. But honestly, it is stupid to leave yourself flagged in a contested zone or anywhere, but the fact that you are complaing of being ganked by people who had suffered through the same things as they level, but willing admitted to ganking AFK people is just a bit on the hypocritical side don't you think?

That's what pvp is all about.
Kill afk players in contested areas.
Kill lower level players (gray or not).

You may not agree, but how is that different from 2 vs 1 or 3 vs 1 situations? It is also unfair and cowardly like the above.

It's all the same. It's fair in pvp.

I'm a girl on a The bad side of town. I really didn't understand why my sisters hated men so much until I grew up enough to enter puberty. After hours spent washing my ganked (ganked is fine here) body I vowed to return the favor. Oh and special thanks to the sneaky man who stalked me while i was hiding on a haystack in the barn from the invasion of Tarren Mill. Now as an adult I leave no man unbeaten, from ages 1-60, asleep or there. If I see one - he/she isn't going to have a nice day

Yeah its kinda crazy, I have personally found the better geared 60s to pretty much leave u alone.

Funny thing I have had happen, 2 times I could have gotten the drop on someone and kept running, both were druids.

1) he was fighting 2 raptors, I helped him kill them and left, about 2mins later I was fighting he rooted me, I killed the raptor then killed him, I did have to use a health put but still

2) druid in travel form both of us running about 25 yards from each other i just keep running, she hits me with wrath, roots me, I killed her then i did a /spit kinda had to because she was trying so hard

anyway i just find it funny when you are just minding your business see them and leave em alone, i am starting to adopt the "if it's red it's dead" theory.

Let me first start out by saying I am an alliance player and am a level 58 Pally. (I can see the hate already, haha) Maybe I'm just too into my class, but I generally don't mind Horde players at all. I see the lower levels (no honor) around Hillsbrad all the time. I find more pleasure out of lower levels being surprised that you're not going to gank them. Throw a couple waves up and leave em be. It's just what I do. Only if you attack me, then, it's on.

(Just a side thought): I honestly cannot stand other Pallys bubble hearthing and a lot of fellow pallys say the same thing (even though every class should use their abilities to the fullest even if it seems cheap) If a bunch of 60s roll by and start attacking, if anything, I'll bubble, laydown, or beg, just to put on a show. I laugh, they laugh, it's fun, its the point of any game.

Heh, I've seen that once with a Night elf warrior in the Horde city of Ashenvale. Only one change though, four of us got sick of him just taunting everybody and we all attacked at once(all high 20's). I was one of the two to die, but he was all polka-dotty when my warlock got done. We actually killed him, and he never came back. I have just always thought that to be a funny story...never count yourself out if you get attacked.
