Gamestop has the release set at December 7th. If I remember right...there was talk about trying to get it out before Christmas for better profits. I'm not sure though. Hopefully it'll be out around then. I don't think I could wait any longer. *pouts*

Those release dates probably aren't accurant since the official release date hasn't been mentioned, but they are probably just using those for now (who knows why) based on what Blizzard has said since WoW has been known in the public
this is just like FFXI.. everyone kept guessing date and such....

If u check EB games, it says 11/15/04, but it says they put that up and not blizzard, so its a guess at least

Companies have their own agenda on release dates. They tell you certain times so you preorder from them. This in turn... brings them money. For the learned consumer, we realize this fact and know that the only release date is what blizzard will tell you when the time comes.
Not to mention, if you preorder now, youll miss out on the deals theyll come out with when it is closer to the actual release date.

There should just be huge bolded text at the top of the forums saying "WORLD OF WARCRAFT COMING OUT IN 2006!!!!!" and then when it's released in December or January, people can be pleasantly surprised.
