lvl 14 spell questionFollow

I just hit level 14 as a cleric and am undecided about which spell I want to take to master II. I solo some and group with an eventual paladin quite frequently. Id like some damage output so was considering radiant strike instead of the improved BoV. My question is will I have the oppurtunity to take the improved BoV in a few levels if I take the improved Radiant strike now?

Here's your complete spell line. I'm going out on a limb and assume your going to be a Templar.

You will get a Smite-style spell at level 18, than again at 25, and at various levels on up.

If you plan on soloing, it is good to have a good Smite in your pocket to speed along the battle. Otherwise your low DPS with long life will drag the fight out.

Even with a Paladin, your increased DPS will help the fight along.

From reading these posts it sounds as though BoV is a vital spell. If I dont select to master II it now will I be able to later on?

In a word, no. Every ten levels, (lvl 14, lvl 24, lvl 34, etc.), you will get a choice of one master 2 spell chosen from a list of 4. Each time it is a completely new list of 4 spells you choose from. If you think you're gonna need it, get it now. This is the only place in the game to get a master 2 spell, thay cannot be purchased!

Two additional points:

1) You could buy a master 1 version of any spell you do not choose as a master 2, be aware however that master 1 spells tend to be VERY expensive.

2) If you are really unhappy with one or more of the choices you have made, you can always go for a "respec". Periodically, SOE gives each character a chance to make all of their choices over again. Takes about a half hour to go through the whole list once you reach lvl 40 or so. There is even a player reward, (at 6 months I think), that will give you a respec. So you're never really stuck with any choices you have made.
