Test Run HelpFollow

My friend and I have been around the MMO world recently and are both downloading the trial for this game to decide before we buy. We were wondering if it is possible for us to get on the same server so we can experience it together. We're both in the middle of the 5+ hour install/update so we don't know if there is an option to choose the server once it completes (Like in WoW), but if there isn't is there like a "World Pass" like in FFXI that we would be able to get so we can join the same server?

You can get the same server but you may not get the same insstance of Isle of Refuge. Not to worry, as your time there is short lived. Once you both leave IoR and head to you home town, you can join up.

However, if one of you is evil and the other is good, you might not be able to see each other for a while.

You could always run screaming through Nek Forest to meet up...just don't get killed along the way. :)

A good server to pick is Najena, among others. There is a large crowd with many guilds of all levels. Look me up if you decide on going there, I can get you outfitted with some helpful items. :)

Yep, don't do the one evil, one good thing, you'll never see each other in the trial.

In my opinion, grouping dynamics in EQII don't really develope very early either (I suppose that was true in EQI)....so what impressions you get at level 7 have very little to do with how your toon plays at 15, and at 25 and at 35...etc, etc.

It was very hard for me to get a grip on the game either in terms of how it plays or how a particular class plays until later in the game. Certainly post 20.
