Not sure which gobbo you're looking for so here are all of them:

Quest giver is under the Xmas tree in Quenos Harbor. He sends you to talk to;

Any gobbo who is running the gambling game. Example; the gobbo standing just inside the big inn in North Qeynos right near the gate to South Qeynos. He gives you clues to lead you to;

A manhole cover on the sea floor under the docks in Enchanted Lands. Entry there will take you to the first half of the quest. Just follow the prompts.

Second half of the quest is an instanced zone that the elves under the Xmas tree will send you to.

Have fun!

Just a piece of advice : before going in instance in EL bring with you 5 gold clusters, 5 carbonite and around 100 coal that you buy from the wholesalers in each societies. That will save you a lot of time.

Good luck with that, not because its difficult, but because one of the sub quest (you will see by yourself) is so awfully bugged it is nearly impossible to complete (spent around 1 hour trying to complete it but couldnt - just too bugged and a lot of ppl are having the same issue).

Since we're talking about the Christmas stuff. How many people bought all the goodies that the elf merchants were selling? I am embarressed to say how much I spent, but lets just say, my apartment is very well lit, I have lots of presents around and some snowy guests hanging around my place.

I was disappointed though as it looks like some people got a music box the first present and I only received a green stocking.Smiley: bah . I promise I was a good little conjurer this year and not naughty at all...I want a music box dammit!

Merry Christmas to all!

It is random but I might add that you can only get 1 gift per day, but as of this writing that is 1 gift per day per toon on your account so if you have 6 toon will that 6 gifts :)
BTW there are 12 diff music box's in the gift cycle or so I hear and only 15 days of gift giving.

ahhh thanks for the information.. seems like all the christmasy decorations in the cities are actually lagging me something awful today for some reason. Think ima pass over this lil quest since ive only been playing eq2 for about 4 days now :) Might just be better for me to go work on my other quests and gain some levels. But I thank those of you who replied :) Much appreciated

My bad, I thought I wrote all the details to that quest but I now remember I just talked about the music part.

Another good hint....Buy about 6 stacks of coal and save yourself some running :p

Re: the music boxes. I picked one up on the first day and I took it back to my room to play. Imagine my surpise and delight when it started to play the old "Felwithe" theme from EQ1, the music I used to hear every time I logged into EQ1 ( Felwithe was my home zone as a mage)... I was transported back over a year ago, pre-EQ2 days. It was really nostalgic!

Where does it say that? I looked in update notes and did not see anything about it.

Here is the block of text from LU18 that explains all the holiday stuff:
Quote:
*** Frostfell ***
- It's Frostfell time in Norrath!
- Talk to Gardy Giftgiver in either Qeynos Harbor or West Freeport once a day for lots of fun presents! He has 15 to give you in all, including new music boxes that play your favorite EverQuest Live tunes.
- Those Gigglegibber goblins are up to no good again. Help the Frostfell Elves save Frostfell! Just talk to Pinchy Presentpeeler to start the quest.
- Celebrate the holidays by having snowball fights with all your friends.
- Buy decorations for your home from the Frostfell elves.
- The festivities commence in Qeynos Harbor and West Freeport. Look for the Frostfell tree!

I guess I'm still missing the part that says

My husband and I play on the same account at different times of the day and we have each received a gift everyday. I did get a music box last night. yay! The Freeport one.

Since the gifts are tied to the toon and not the account, and since there are numerous instances of more than one toon per account receiving a gift in a single day, (you and your husband for example), I think we can infer that each toon on each account can get a gift each day.

When you get your first gift from him, Gardy Giftgiver even says, "please wait 24 hours before coming back for another gift", or some such so the once a day thing is pretty logical.

I don't think the previous poster was implying that you get 6 gifts per account... but one gift per day per toon on your account. I think he just used the number 6 to suggest a full account. Is that what's confusing you?
