Another small rant. Is it just me or is it WAY to easy to get money, I have only been playing a couple weeks, I am lvl 14 and I have 1.5p. And I cant find anything to buy.

Edit: one question I have is how much money is 1p to a lvl 60?

First off, to answer your question; to a lvl 60, 1.5 plat is nothing. By the time you reach T5 (lvl 40) you can easily spend that or more on a single weapon, (rare pristine imbued). You can also spend nearly that much on a single piece of armor, (rare pristine imbued).

Now, the method you used to aquire that amount of money in a couple weeks & at lvl 14 could tell me whether you are skillful or just lucky...

If you got it by harvesting and selling a few rares, then I'd have to say you were lucky because any chimp can generate massive amounts of coin by harvesting and selling the rares through the broker since T1 rares are grossly over valued.

If on the other hand, you managed to gain that coin by crafting or looting I'd say you have shown some skill...

In either case, my suggestion would be to keep doing what you're doing and salt it away... you're going to need it soon...

I have earned a little over 2.5pp by level 21. I would say luck has most to do with it though as I have managed to loot a master 1 from a solo mob, and countless rares. I have also made abit of money by selling regular harvests, tier 2 foods from crafting, adept 1 spells I have looted, etc. I have a bit over 1pp left right now but that was after buying master 1 lay of hands, full set of normal t3 gear/adept 1's/weapon.

It does seem easier to make money now then when the game first came out, but then again it costs more to buy things then when the game first game out.

I guess I am lucky in a way, becasuse my friend gave me one gold to start me off and that helped a ton.

What I did to make my money, is once I saved enough out of tradeskilling to have around 10g I bought rares and sold them at a higher price, for an example I bought out the lowest prices of a severed bone, 3 of them for 3g, then I sold them at 8g each which was the next highest price. another example is I bought 10 saffaras roots (there were only ten to buy) for a total of 78g then I sold them all for 150g. The reason why I chose rares, is because its these type of items that dont loose thier value and are safer and they sell faster.

The only problem with this is that it takes time to get started, but once you have a sytem going it really works well, right now I have 8p. I will probaly do this for a little longer (or at least until I get a better graphics card) and then I will focus more on fighting/leveling, and tradeskills. Right now I am lvl 14 (Bard)/18 (outfitter)

Edit: It also helps to have a partner like I did, my partner would buy out any copetition as soon as it comes or I would do that and he would sell. We split the money fifty-fifty. Our total gross sales are 20p.

Edit: I would not recomend doing this, I think I just got lucky because I lost almost my whole fortune in a bold move.

Well I would not say 1.5 plat is nothing. But its not enough to worry about. As for paying over 1plat for anything I have not,

I have all my cobalt armour on my SK and only payed 1.2 plat for all 6 parts. I also have a cobalt ax and only payed 20 gold for that. I did this by harvesting all the rares myself. Now you may say that takes along time! No not really rares drop off some mobs now and if you harvest when you can it helps to.

I find that I have more money then I need in the the game at 54L and my 42L warlock has over 30p in his bank ( I sell all my drops thru him) I rarely habe more then 2 plats on my main, there really is not that much stuff to buy that you can't get with a few min time.

I think I saw my first platinum at level 25 or so. But back in MY day...

Money is easier to get, just ensure you keep your armor, gear, and spells upgraded as much as you can afford.

Be mindful of your special spell picks you get at various levels, you can save money on an upgrade by taking that special pick, and using the money for something else.

Just to add my two cents worth so to speak... Last night I made my first ever plat - and I am lvl 39.
