I dont think anything affects buffs or debuffs, but our damage songs are affected by int.

Dirges have more melee buffs, we have one for parry and one to increase slash/pierce/etc. While troubs do avoidance(?) and casting abilities. Dirges also buff DPS, while troubs do attack rate.

Dirges do a disease proc and noxious resists. Troubs do arcane procs and resists.

Dirges have fear for crowd control, while troubs charm.

Dirges also have a buff to increase the targets str and aggro gain, while troubs decrease all non fighters aggro.

I beleive dirges get some more debuffs then troubs, while they get more buffs. Also in the high levels dirges can rez.

Sorry for the double post, but can you buy songs or can they only be gained through levels?

All spells are automatically given when you reach a new level, with a few exceptions:

The level 20 "fluff" spell that is easily purchased from a city merchant.

The level 51+ spells obtained from merchants within Maj'Dul after completing sufficient faction. This requires purchase of Desert of Flames expansion pack.

Spells that come from the Bloodline Chronicles adventure pack. Even though I didn't purchase the pack, I was able to buy a spell that was looted there, from the broker.

More specifically, the pre 50 base spells are given to you at a level call Apprentice I when you gain the appropriate level. You can purchase upgrades from npc vendors for most at Apprentice II level.

Player crafters can make Apprentice III and Apprentice IV level spells from a combination of common foraged and purchased materials.

Adept I level spells are reasonably common spell drops from killing Mobs. You will either find you own (it happens) or buy one a PC has put on broker or is hawking in one of the chat channels.

Adept III level spells are crafted from rare forages. You can buy them off broker (not usually price efficient, or forgage/buy the rare and commission a PC crafter to make one for you...or make it yourself (spending as much time an enery leveling as the appropriate artisan as you have adventuring).

Master I level spells are rare drops from named mobs in either Heroic (group) or Epic (usually raid) mobs.

The level 51+'s you just dont get automatically, and you must have sufficient faction to purchase them from the Desert of Flames expansion cults in Maj'Dul (the DoF city).

Nicely laid out Cujomatic! I have only one point to add...

Every ten levels (beginning at lvl 14) you will get the option to upgrade one of four spells to master 2 quality. This is even better than a master 1 upgrade but you only get one shot every ten levels so choose wisely!
