Hi, I'm currently playing EQ I and WoW. I was wondering if someone can tell me anything about EQ II. Is it worth it? Is it better than EQ I? Tell me anything pluses or minus of the game. Thank you in advance.

I didn't paly Wow long enough to comment on it. I can say you won't be waiting in line to log in with eq2 though. However here is some pros and cons compared to eq1

Pros

-Every class can solo

-Very little downtime

-Plenty of players of all levels to group with, not just your high end like eq1 playing.

-Better player market. I guess some might disagree, but I started a newaccount and I can buy about anything my player needs.

Cons

-Almost every decent weapon/armor has to be attuned. This is another thing some peopel like/dislike. At least unlike eq1 you CAN sell attuned armor to a merchant, but plan on taking a big loss.

-Armor/weapons is very restrictive in levels.

-Very limited to what you can do (IE not alot of amazing things players can do with the limitations givin). With Eq1 people was always finding interesting ways of taking down a mob with a charactor that probably shouldn't have been able to do it. That is really not something that happens in eq2.

-Trivial loot code basically. If a mob is grey you won't get any chest drops. This used to be a pain for heritage quest drops, but I think most of that has been fixed.

That is all I can think of this very moment. You could always download the free trial from the eq2 website and try it yourself?
