Yes, it has been talked to death, and since this is a EQ2 forum, you will probably find the opinions biased to EQ2.

One this that you can do is try this free fully functional demo. Keep in mind that is just the tip of the iceburg. The real adventure awaits.

I've played both WoW and EQ2 to the end game. Neither is "better" or "worse" than the other. They are just completely different games. Each has its pros and cons. The one thing that brought me back to EQ2 after getting to 60 in WoW is that there is a bigger end game content and I enjoy a more intense gaming atmosphere. If you're new to MMOs or are looking for a simplified game that is extremely easy to pick up than WoW would be for you. If you're looking for more interaction with the game itself along with people, and a more realistic game than EQ2 would be for you.
