Just saw that Allakhazam was gonna be on G4's tv show, Attack of the Show, and explain why WoW is better than EQ2...WHY? WHY ALLAKHAZAM OWNERS WHY! We love you..No love back? prz?
Alla plays WoW. I've known that since I played WoW, back during its first few months.
I'd guess that WoW's customizable interface is one of the big reasons - EQ2 has some interface customizability, but I have yet to see anything really mind-blowing, like the Price Tracker mod I used. It kept a log of all AH and vendor prices for everything that was listed on the AH - compiled from what you saw, not some central database. It was excellent for deciding what loot to keep and what to junk if you weren't done adventuring, and your packs were full...

Hmmm... Really? Do you have a link at G4?
If this is true, it's kind of a kick in the face. I feel like the regulars here have done a lot to try to build up this forum and the game. Alla has a right to his opinion but in this setting it's going to come across like the official pronouncement from the MMO guru. Which tells me EQ2 isn't going to get very far here. Maybe I should look into other forums...

No he did not say that WoW was better than EQ. I just finished watching his piece and I think he did an amazing job.
Alla went on and explained how he started the site, how he chooses which games to showpiece on this site by playing beta and using our feedback. There were clips of EQ in the background showing different raid fights. He did talk about WoW since it was the newest game to come out that really took hold in the MMO community. The host asked him his thoughts on what will be out for the future and that about sums it up.
There was no comparison between EQ and WOW. I think the only thing he said was that with WoW you do feel as if you accomplish something even playing for an hour, which is good for beginning gamers.
