This one is addressed to old EQ1-ers. Does anyone remember like I do the "old" theme tune to EQ1? It began with a hint of the theme and then the cymbals would crash and timpani roll and we would get the glorious EQ theme in full symphonic glory. Now all we get is a wimpy hint of the old EQ theme music...

I miss it ...and the anticipation it gave me, which I don't get now funnily enough. I guess there was something about the magic and uniqueness of EQ1 which hasn't transferred to EQII. I still LOVE the game though!

Just reminiscing...

OMG, I feel exactly the same way you do. The main theme music is basically the same 'song' but it's been re-worked into a wimpy shadow of it's fomrer glory. I was disappointed the first time I heard it. The combat music isn't as thrilling either. Remember the music that played in Blackburrow in EQ1? It was genuinely creepy and gave you the feeling of impending doom. The native american flavored stuff they attach to gnoll areas now is inappropriate and dull.

I think the music is one of the few things that are lacking in this game. I honestly can't remember any of the other music in the game, it's that forgettable. Well, other than the insipid tradeskill instance music which has been burned into my brain through countless hours of grinding to level 60. I have to say that piece is highly appropriate for the task at hand though, it says "assembly line, next item, we are the worker bees, robot people, work, work, work..." :)
