So there I was, running around Nek Forest, looking to harvest some moonflowers for a DoF Coin faction quest, when I see in /ooc, "Anyone care to help a 32 Wizzy and 33 Swashy take down T'sanne?"

I disregarded it at first, thinking to myself, that's all the way across the zone, when I'm here at the foot of N'Mars Ascent, harvesting.

Until I began to think about it...

I remember camping T'sanne, twice. The first time was with a raid and we successfully waited the 4 hour timer, killed the place holders, and killed T'sanne when he popped. But no-one got credit since T'sanne is not an epic (and raid eligible) mob. We broke up into a single group, waited another 4 hours, and did it again, this time getting credit.

I sent a /tell to the Wizzy telling him I'll be there in 10 minutes, he was happily surprised to find out he was getting some high power help.

I ran to T'sanne's castle and talked to the duo. I would have to remain out of group and hold agro, while they DPS it down. The critical part was they would have to make initial contact to "claim" the encounter. I would then steal the agro. I also told them that if they die, to quickly rez and run back.

I then cleared the next 2 waves of auto-spawns, which, by the way, attacked me even though they were /con grey. I then backed out of the castle and peeked inside. T'sanne had spawned.

The Wizzy ran in and got first agro, I quickly laid damage to steal it back and whittled down the adds, leaving T'sanne for last. Both Wizzy and Swashy died twice during the fight, pulling DPS agro...which I quickly took back. I had to make sure I didn't out-damage the duo, else they loose credit for the encounter. It was a technically challenging fight, as I had to watch each mob's agro, all the while keeping my DPS low enough, plus managing my pet and it's agro.

At one point, both were dead and T'sanne was down to 4% health. The Wizzy armor was reduced to rags (he forgot to repair before coming out) and had to get inviso for the return run.

All the while I let T'sanne beat on me, my pet just stood and took notes. The duo finally arrived, laid a killing blow, and they both got credit for the named mob.

We did our celebratory gratz, waves, and giggle emotes, splitting off into the dank Nek Forest sunrise.

Over an entire playing session of 3-4 hours of harvesting and tanking, I got 0% exp...but that was not important.

It's not always about the grind... :)

Very nice story. Mind if I copy it? It would just be for a side event, nothing like copywriting it.
