I started a new account after quitting back around march (maybe sooner). Anyways I made a fighter class and of course being new I am useing the newbie armor from isle of refuge, raw hide from vendors, and my freeport citizen ship stuff.

Anyways first off I noticed wrist, waist, rings all do not seem to have mitigation anymore. I quested for the chipped shard bracelet and find it only has 1 sta and is a piece of crap now (it used to be 6ac if I remember properly).

Anyways as some might see in my post in general forum I was having some trouble with the crusader task where you gotta kill 3 defectors in a group. Well after 5 tries and about 10% debt the dice rolled in my favor and I killed them with 2 hitpounts left.

Anyways I am noticing though that I can not hardly solo a yellow con mob anymore. Before if a mob was less then orange you could pretty much take it assumeing of course it was a solo mob.

Just wondering if they have nerfed the figherers or heck maybe everybody?

Not just tanks, but everyone. So not really a nerf, the game just got a bit harder.

Where you used to be able to take on yellow or orange mobs, now you will normally be able to take on blue or white mobs. And if you want to take down a heroic, you better have help or be many levels above your threat.

Mitigation was removed from jewelry, but, c'mon, how much can a bracelet protect you from a slahing blade?

The last major revamp came to mages, with Summoner pets getting a total rework - actually for the better. Priests got a work-over with many complaining that they are pulling agro too fast, even without casting a thing.

And the newest change will give everyone (us and mobs) more hit points across the board. That will make battles last longer, and leveling a bit slower.

Ugg I dont' know if I want to play this game again or not. I used to have a 50 conjuror and I got rid of that account awhile back. Looks like now the Conjuror would be just as good as a tank. Before I got to watch tank classes my level solo 2 green con heroics at once where I couldn't take any of them :/

You get a few hardcore people who play all day long and SOE goes and screws the casual gamers over. Eq2 was supposed to be for the Casual gamers, or at least so I thought. It is not fair to do that since there is all ready a big handfull of lvl 50+ on there. Shoot I seen a ton of lvl 60's, and DOF hasn't been out that long. Before long its going to be like trying to level up as a fresh player on eq1 (which isn't easy since there is not enough newbie charactors to group with).

I have noticed alot of mobs that used to be ^^ are now ^^^. Like for instance that named skelly in Sunken City. I remember soloing him several times before, now he eats me up before I can do anything. Also I do not see as many lvl 1 to 20ish playing anymore. I guess that could be because Im in Freeport this time (always noticed there was more goodies then baddies even before).

I might as well give it more time, but I had really hoped the game got better since I quit. IT looks like they are just nerfing it with every patch.

On the contrary, I get eaten for breakfast if I try. :)

I was slinking around Sinking Sands and decided to try my hand at a 47^^ Dune Spider, the ones that hang around Terrorantula.

My earth pet is adept 3, I have adept 3 pet heal and aquaeous fish ,and adept 1 for pet buffs. I put the defensive stance on the pet, plus all the other buffs.

I was constantly spamming damage spells until I had to switch to pet heals, and couldn't keep up. Tried several times with other ^^ mobs and had just as hard of a time. The only one I was able to take down was the ^^ mummy (46 or 47 I think).

Not sure if you dropped your conjurer before the revamp, but our pets are ton's better than before. Now, each pet is useful in certain situations, with the Scout/Aery pet being the most versatile. The level 52 earth pet is extremely tank'ish. :)

There is something for the casual player in the form of solo mobs. But being solo, they will not give you much exp or loot. The good stuff comes from heroic or group mobs.

But then this leads into the notion that solo and casual are not the same thing. You can be a casual player and join a group for only an hour of good heroic mob exp and loot. Or you could be a casual player that solo's for an hour getting mediocre exp and loot.

I don't know if it's just me or what but I've noticed a small improvement in my monk's tanking ability (only level 31). Yesterday I was soloing yellow ^ mobs in zek with no problem at all, walked away after the fight with more than half of my health each time where as before I would have to make a run for my life. All I was doing was spamming CAs, no HOs.

Depends on what SoE did on the latest patch, was soloing in Feerott a few weeks ago with my warlock and was doing good, then they patched and the next day all of a sudden I am get nailed left and right and root is breaking 90% of the time before I cast a spell.
I test everytime they patch now due to them changing the game everyday. Someday soon we will be out of bata and game will be done. Or just wait a few more months and we will be play EQ1 with better screen shots :P
