Any rumors EQII is coming out on Xbox 360?

I quit FFXI because of the gil inflation problem, and eventually quit EQ II because it was on a computer and not a game console (I look at a computer 9 hours a day as part of my job, and don't want to go home and continue to look at a computer monitor). Are there any rumors that EQ II will come out on Xbox 360? Thanks!

Highly unlikely. Sony may do something similar to EQOA, the PS2 version of Everquest, but getting a PC MMO onto a Console platform is a logistical nightmare - the patches would quickly fill up the XB360's hard drive. In other words, it'd be a separate, different game.

Before anyone says, "Final Fantasy 11 is a PC MMO that's been ported to consoles!"... No. FFXI is a console MMO that's been ported to PC. There's a difference. With a console game (even an MMO), you've got a static, solid build that rarely (if ever) gets patched.

If not for any other reason at all (ie porting it to console), it will not happen because EQ2 is a Sony product, and the Xbox is a M$ product. You might see EQ2 on PS3 at some point, if they decide to port it, but you'll never see it on Xbox unless there is a merger of somekind.
