More drama at the crafting table...

I picked up the first level 1 workshop task from the person behind the counter. I need to make 10 quaint medium maple tables. Easy enough...

Problem is, there is no recipie for medium tables, only small and large. What's worse, I can't delete the quest.

[fists raised to the sky] Curse you SOE!

No, you can't delete it but you can ask him for another task instead. He will grumble and moan, but then give you something else to do.

I believe you can change them out once a day till you get one you like... Also works for wholesale and tradeskill writ tasks.

Phew, that's a relief!

Those can be replaced every 20 or 30 minutes, but of course with his usual moaning about it too...

Yep, I did get a new recipie - 10 Vision Totems. I was painfully surprised when I went for a turn-in and she took my 10 totems!

I guess I can make my cake but not eat it too. :(

Yeah, they actually want to keep the stuff they ask you to make and then pay you for... go figure! :-)

Don't forget that you can also do tasks for the people in the T/S instance beneath the Ironforge Estate. The reward is cash and GSP/PSP and as a bonus, they will pay you 160% of your cost instead of the paultry 120% that your crafting society pays you!

Also worth noting is that you can use dropped materials in crafting the items for these tasks and the value of said items will also be factored into your payout.

So, for example, if you were to make leather armor out of dropped pelts instead of harvested pelts, the NPC value of each pelt would be factored into your final payout, (with the 60% margin tacked on).

I've actually stopped doing those workshop tasks, in the end the reward wasn't worth the time and effort.

Now I just do the Crafting Writs from Ironforge Estate for status and the harvesting requests from the Wholesaler Society which pays nearly 2g a pop for Tier 5 tasks.
