question on class

I just want to know for sure on this. Is there a large amount of a certian class in this game, like for example in FFXI there were crap load of black mages and would make it hard to find a party or group cuz there are allready to many of them? I dont want to pick a char/class that i will have a hard time to find groups and not have fun doing anything because i'm waiting for groups all the time.???? Does any of this make sence?

It makes sense, but things in EQ2 are so balanced now that there is no real set of classes that you need for a group. There really aren't any classes that are much better than others, and likewise there are no classes that no one wants to group with.

A group should usually have a main tank, a healer or two and the balance being DPS, but beyond that it's wide open. You can even get by without that setup if you go after the right monsters. All priests can heal well, all tanks can tank well.

Especially after the next live update. Druids and Wardens are going to get their heals improved to be equal to Clerics. Actually, you might want to avoid being a Templar for now, we don't have much utility and other priests will heal as well as we do... grumble, grumble...
