Looted Arcana treasure?Follow

#1 Oct 18 2005 at 5:52 PM Rating: Decent
I have had a couple of these things drops. The lastest was an amber charm. Does anyone know if these have any significance, i.e. turnin to someone or are they just vendor junk to sell?

TIA

Vendor junk. The higher in tier you go, the more they can be worth. I looted one item that was over 2g at the merchant.

yep vendor junk, there is some that can be turned in for status points, and can be worth selling on auction. These are, documents, amulets, scrying stones, and idols. Here is a link to some info on those. These are quite common, and even the first ones can sell for 20-30 sp each.

Yes. I turn in the amulets, sealed documents and scrying stones frequently for status points. But just wondered about the other since it says, "looted arcana treasure" Wasn't sure if it was like the collection quests but these triggered a quest of some kind after turning them in.

Thanks for the info.

One way to check for sure is to examine the item. If no special dialogue box comes up offering a quest, then it is possibly vendor junk.

Keep in mind that some items can also be used in tradeskilling. You might check here to see if it's a component for a recipie or quest. If is dings as a special rare find, sell it on the broker for a nice profit. If you're a tradeskiller, than you could use that rare item for spells and items.

Even though some items are not quest-givers themselves, it might be needed as a component by some quest. For example, a Palladium Torque and Fulginate Girdle are normal (but rare) loot drops, and required items for quests. The torque will sell for over 1pp at the broker, or it can be fashioned by a artisan. That route may cost you 1.5pp. I just sold a Fulginate Girdle for 55g.

By the way, deer meat is a component for a Heritage Quest, Teachings of Yoru. You could sell it for at least 20+ silver each, maybe more.
