As the title states, I loved FFXI and WoW, unfortunately I got to level 68 on FFXI and I got 2 level 60's on WoW and grew tired of both of them.
I liked both games for different reasons, FFXI for the gameplay and team aspect. WoW fir the PvP and easy accesability for new people and the complexness of higher level area/strategies.
My question is, if I liked both games (you have an idea of the games I liked) do you think I'll enjoy EQ2?
BTW are the servers still populated?
P.S I saw that EQ2 has PvP, is it open PvP like WoW or is it arena based?

Why don't you see for yourself here?
This will give you the initial view of gameplay, graphics, and mechanics but it is just the tip of the iceburg.
If you like to grind to the max level as fast as you can, you can do that. If you want to quest until your mouse hurts, you can do that too. Grouping is easy and crafting is very productive.
There is only arena PvP so far.
Most servers are still populated, but I've seen people complaining about some being pretty empty. You could try out Najena, Guk, or AB - those seems to be the most populated.
