You can play it but you will have graphic lag like a **** in most zones. I would sugest you get another 512 of mem and the video card is decent and will let you turn it up to balanced. besides more mem you will be doing fine. Your processor might wana be upgraded some time soon but its not as bad as the mem.

how about me:

OS: Windows XP Pro. 2002 ed. w/ SP 2
CPU: AMD Athlon 3000+ (64-bit, 2.0 GHz, 800MHz FSB, 512 KB L2 Cache)
Mobo: ASUS K8V-X K8T800 ATX
RAM: Geil 2GB DDR SDRAM (184-Pin, DDR 400, PC 3200)
GFX: ASUS GeForce 6600 256 MB (128-bit, DDR, AGP 4X/8X)

I know this thread may be viewed as irrelevant when there are many places one can find the Sony recommended minimum requirements... however, I think anyone who plays an MMORPG... especiallly one as intensive as EQ2 surely is... knows that the recommended system specs are usually about as useful as (insert funny EQ cliche such as "a rusty dagger on a naggy raid").

My specs are about half yours man dont woory you will run smooth. The only problem you might run into is if your video cards are not suported. if they are you are good to go.

My system is very similar to yours, except that I have an Athlon 64 3500+ and a GForce 6800 GT 256MB PCI Express. I have not overclocked anything. I can run the game very smoothly on the default "High Quality" settings. It looks wonderful. You can try that, and if you get any stuttering, turn down a few key settings (try Flora and water reflections).

My old 'puter was far less than I have now and it still looked great and ran smooth.

Also, if you go to city zones, especially Qeynos Harbor, and you get some stutter and lag - don't panic. It happens on the best systems, and it's due to server lag, not system inadequacy.

I knew I was kind of being a douche when I posted my system specs.

Thank you for putting me in my place.
