I'm basicaly in the path of Rita, about 10 miles to east of the projected path of the eye, and I'm not positive wether we're going or not. I probably won't have power for a few days or weeks, so I won't be posting here for a while. Later Gators.

I am scared for Dak. I live in Tampa, FL and waded out three hurricanes last year. These were nothing compared to what Texas is going to face. I talked to Dak last night, as he is in my guild, and implored him to leave. I ask the same of everyone else who might be in the path. DO NOT TAKE THESE THINGS LIGHTLY! We had tropical storm force winds in Tampa last year (less than 75mph) and there was a lot of damage and debris. Imagine what 175mph winds will do.

decided to head to dallas and made it in 12 hours, 4 times as long as normal. We had one of the better times. We're safe now to all that were concerned about us. I'll be posting every once and awhile from my uncles comp, I'll keep up on the updates of rita and the aftermath. Peace out homies.
Of course it only hooked east once I left lol. Our area supposedly diddn't even lose power.
That just means you can settle back in faster. I am just glad my boss refused to send us down to lafayette for extra work this weekend.
