GReat, so now with these new changes, crafting is even more brutal.
Now we cant harvest resources while being attacked by mobs... Hmm, ok great... Although it does make sense from a logical point of view... it is still a PITA...
BUt what REALLY erks me is the fact that mobs NINE levels below you still con as green! WTF?
So here I am, level 30, and I cant even gather resources in the fields in TS by the North tower because some stupid scarecrow 9 levels below me is beating on me.
It took long enough before to gather resources... Why should I have to clear out a camp of 5 mobs just to get one damn root? IfI want to take the risk and gather the materials while a few heroic mobs are pounding on me... I should be able to! If i die... O WELL MY FAULT.
If they are going to do this, they should make it so getting pounded on by a blue con or higher mob you cant gather resources.. But if a mob is 9 levels below me, i dont care! All it is is a nucience, dont make me kill it just to gather a material!
These changes are starting to tick me (and MANY others) off... Things I used to solo no prob, I can't anymore. EXP just got more frustrating to get.
And NO I will not go back to WoW. That game was a joke and way to easy.. I was looking for a game a bit more difficult than WoW.. which EQ2 used to be.. right up until these changes..

sorry man. I have to disagree. I think you aren't really able to search around and gather berries as some giant or orc is slashing at you with a sword. If you really need to forage or whatever right where they are, get a group together and get some XP while you're at it.
I agree.. to a point. if your level 50 and a level 20 mob is hitting you... and your evading every attack anyways... Why shouldnt you be able to pick?
Now if your level 20, and a level 22 is attacking you... I can see why..
Most groups don't like when your gathering resources. Because the group is usually formed for a reason - exp or quest.. or combination of both. they don't want to waste their time while your pickin roots.

I know you are exaggerating so I won't be too harsh. If a level 20 mob is hitting you at level 50, then you are the one who initiated the combat
I do agree that it sucks you can't gather while mobs are hitting you, but it does bring a sense of realism into the game. Just try to stay 10 levels above the mobs in a gathering area and you will be fine. Or, choose more carefully where you harvest. The Griffon Fields in TS is a wonderful place to harvest, but it is very dangerous.

If it is in TS that its bothering you if you havent pissed off the centaurs yet just go harvest by tower 3. Other then that I dont see them changing any of this back. Even in EL you can harvest mostly unmolested as long as you dont ruin your faction with the faries. I think part of this will make people care a little more about there faction and not just kill everything in site.

Mmmm just don't sound right to me. Anyhow when was the last time someone was /lfg to harvest? No what you have to do is just keep your eyes open and do it like you did when you where low level in that zone. SoE is going to change the game everyday and if you want to play you will have to deal with it :P
